One of our itinerary with Wendy's Tour was to Yaoshan Mountain. We didn't had to queue for ticket or fork out any our of pocket money as everything was inclusive in Wendy's Tour. Arrived at about 11:30am as planned by Lily from Wendy's Tour, we were met with a lesser crowd. Kudus to Lily for their tour experience. The 'cable-chair'... More

This was a fantastic 2 night stay at this mountain lodge on the river. Very peaceful with lovely views. I was traveling alone this trip. ..this place is really romantic so think about that ! (There were also families here with kids.) Beautiful room with balcony porch, big windows. Nice bed and linens. Very eco thoughtful. The breakfast was nice.... More

It's not covered cable car but an open chair lift. Only a metal bar to prevent you from slipping off your seat. The time we went, it was raining awhile ago so the chairlift shelter had rusty water dripping onto my head and pants non-stop. It was so foggy when we went up the mountain but when we descended you... More

Unfortunately, the weather wasn't too great on the time we went and the fog covered some of the views. Make sure you go on a clear day!

Visited Yaoshan Mountain in December and the weather was foggy and rain drizzled all the time, that's why the track going down was closed, used just cable car for both ways. I didn't have enough time, use the tourist center in my hotel to go there. The girl in the hotel asked 170 RMB per person and 100 RMB for... More

I was there during a holiday week and endured a long line and 45 minute wait to go on the chair lift up to the top of the mountain. The 12-15 minute ride up was very enjoyable with great views of Guilin and the surrounding lakes and mountains. The signs and instructions were unclear to me (no English that I... More

This very slow chair lift provides beautiful views over the surrounding karst peaks. Well worth the time.

Beatiful view of Guilin - at the top, small museum and statues. Tip : don't go in the morning, the line up is too long - we were ther at 10am but decided to leave and we went back at 1pm and we didn't wait.

This was a lovely, quiet retreat after the hustle and bustle of two weeks touring China and Tibet. Very restful along the river and a lovely setting for breakfast outside at early morning.
