The Mosque is very interesting and a fusion of traditional Chinese and more classic Islamic architecture. It has a very serene and Peaceful atmosphere. We were very thrilled to be standing in a mosque 1270 years old! There are different courtyards and sections. Most structures...More

...step into the Xi'an Mosque. Some of the architecture of picture perfect. Outside the Mosque are small shops that offer interesting mementos of Xi'an. Haggling is the norm.

Beautiful mosque but not well maintained. Seems like trying to maintaining some parts of the mosque. Qurani ayas carved on the wooden walls. Built in 720.

We only spent about 15 minutes wandering through this site. It was quite peaceful and serene considering it was close to a busy part of the city. Interesting architecture and gardens.

This mosque dating back centuries is a unique site. It is still a Muslim place of worship, but it's decor is thoroughly Chinese. The buildings and courtyard are pleasant to walk through.

Such a nice ancient garden in the middle of a crazy busy market but its so peaceful and all you hear is birds singing. Crazy historical building. Try to get inside the prayer hall to see the artwork on the wall and unbelievable ceilings.

Go early in the day to enjoy the serenity of the old buildings, especially beautiful in spring with blossoms. Lines of sight through the archways draw you to the hall at the end of the gardens
