The Tang Museum of Art is located in the southern suburbs of the Xi'an Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area east of Qujiang. The museum is China's first dating art museum, built by the two countries together. The total area of 2910 square meters, display area of 983 square meters, the rest for the courtyard green, is a typical imitation of... More

I tried to visit this museum today but, unfortunately, it was closed and when I rang the number on their website, it was closed. I'd been looking forward to going here while in Xi'an, so was very disappointed.

Interesting variety of artworks from modern to old Chinese. There are artworks for sale. Make sure you have a go at calligraphy while you are there.

This museum might be small, but is an absolute insider's tip: We were the only visitors and they switched the lights on extra for us! We got a personal guide to show us the museum: a very friendly young woman who spoke very good English and explained the main exhibits to us. She even gave us a short practical introduction... More

This is a very distinctive place, but usually it's hard to understand its real value and meaning, especially for the foreign guests don't know the Chinese ancient culture, so I need more detailed introduction and propaganda, make the viewers have prepared, and then to visit, will have a better effect。

This art museum is small but well worth a visit. We saw both old and new Chinese art and even had a calligraphy lesson. There is a small gift shop where you can purchase art done by art students and art professors from the local art school.

On the suggestion of our local tour guide, I visited this charming small museum. The museum provided a short tour featuring both older Chinese are works, to folk art, to works done by current art students. At the end of the tour there is an opportunity to try calligraphy . It was a lovely quiet way to spend an hour... More

Really pleasant and friendly staff and nice examples of historical art and more modern pieces, some of which you can buy. Was pretty cool to practice some Chinese writing
