Our second trip to Xi Shan was just as good as the first with better weather but more people, so I recommend avoiding sunny weekends! There is now a subway, line 3 terminus, from the city centre. Recommend take the bus - buy RMB 88...More

We traveled to the top sites by chair lift and walked down using the many hundreds of steps carved out of the rock by hand over generations. At every cave a small shrine had been built. Thanks to our private guide Vivian of China Odyssey...More

Visited April 1. I visited Xishan by Subway Line 3 which was very convenient. Ride it to the very last stop. As you disembark, just follow the local Chinese, there's no chance to get lost! Just 200m from the subway station there is an eating...More

Accessible from subway line 3, last stop. I was with friends and we hired a car to the top from here. There is also a bus, which is more economical. Then walk down towards Dragon Gate. It was a cloudy day, which affected the view....More

Being old people we only visited two temples HuaTing and TaiHua. The walk up and down the hill was interesting. We would widely recommend using the old stairs way from HuaTing to TaiHua even though we were not able to keep counting all the steps....More

A very well maintain and organised park. Nice ride on the ski lift that gives a spectacular view of Kunming town. Interesting walk along the edge of the hill too. Highly recommended.

Far from city centre, close to Xishan the tourist spot. To save time, taxis at modest cost will be better choice.
