Nice place to visit but not suitable for kids and veteran as the road is slippery and narrow. You still need to walk a lot although there is cable car to bring you up. Furthermore, too many visitors and therefore, tough to move and see...More

Do go right to the top. The view from up there is beautiful. But of it is raining dont go up. As the flight of steps are too slippery and steep and narrow at certain places.

Kind of sad that a religious place has been turned into a money - making venture. Expensive for what it is and the so - called monks will keep trying to get you to donate. Crowded and not the religious experience you are looking for.

Love Xishan, we take a gondola up to the top and work our way down. beautiful trails and you get the best view of the city and the huge Dian Lake.
