I went there specifically to see the Flying Tiger's exhibit, which I thought was just fantastic. I probably spent two hours looking at the professionally curated displays. With plenty of signage in English, this is a great place for history buffs. The remainder of the...More

Really enjoyed the flying tigers exhibition. Understood a lot about Kunming during WW2 and the close friendship between China and USA. So many good people voluntering to fight evil in this world. A good exhibition to record and show they contribution

The museum has an excellent display on the WWII Flying Tigers. There is also a Flying Tigers Restaurant close to the centre of the city, just off the Pedestrian Street in a building that was their headquarters. That is also worth visiting.

While in Kunming late last month, we visited the Minority City Museum and found it well maintained and exhibiting many items. It is quite a big building with garden courtyard in the centre and quite a few display halls. Many of the exhibits were exclusive.

Must see to understand WW II for US in China...particularly Kunming as a base for US Army Air Force. This museum provided considerable insight into the people and logistics and how the Chinese and US worked together in the war against Japan.
