This zoo is very clean and easy to navigate. It's not a big place, but the conditions for the animals were well maintained. The highlight for me was seeing the pandas. At some zoos, it's impossible to see them without dozens or hundreds of people standing in your way. At Hangzhou, I was the only person at their enclosure. This... More

Really wanted to see some animals whilst in China so a zoo seemed like the perfect place to see Pandas! Trip started off ok, was pretty busy but then we were looking at the turtles and some of the Chinese were chucking their water bottles and stuff at them to make them move. Didn't really see any staff about. The... More

This was the saddest, most horrible zoo I have ever visited. The cages were small, the animals were lethargic and constantly harassed by visitors. Animals could be seen begging for food as they were pelted with trash and rocks by sightseers. I do not recommend going to this zoo if you have any compassion for animals. I went with my... More

I visited this zoo because my 6 yrs old son insisted. I still have in my mind the cage in which the wolf lives. So small, all by himself, he could just try to jump on the window that separeted him from us. The wolf is the worst memory among others animals there threated very badly, in small cages. I... More

Lots of animals from all over the planet, even some kangaroos from Australia. Most animals were lethargic.

A beautiful day so we headed to the zoo. We took a taxi and with all the road construction, took a long time to get there. Once there we paid our 20rmb admission and went in. Some animals you kind of scratch your head and think is this a zoo animal? The gold fish all look like mutants with some... More

I thought this Zoo will be nice (because in China there are nice Zoos) but this one is terrible... All animals look like sad and suffered....

My younger Sister and I were so looking forward to seeing the Pandas but they were sleeping with their back to us which was very disappointing however we saw one yawn and turn over LOL. Apart from that, it was great. So many animals to see. We took pictures with the Dolphin (corny I know but what can I say)... More

As an European, I barely liked it. The size of the enclosures were really small. Barely green for the animals and looked like a bunker. The park is better than most animal enclosures. Two dogs in a small enclosure of 20 square meters, a bear standing on his feet while the Chinese visitors throwing food and other objects into the... More

We visited the zoo as it was a rainy day and there was not much else to do. The 20rmb entrance price is very cheap. Overall the Zoo definitely is not at the standard seen in western zoos I have visited. In saying that I did not think it was as bad as some reviews have made out. The size... More
