This is a restored ancient Chinese shopping street in the heart of Hangzhou. Skip the food streets as the food does not have much taste except for the barbecued meat. Chinese traditional arts and crafts are on display, do spend time browsing Tang's fashion house...More

On the other side, I began to eat and drink. The food was delicious. We had a great time to eat. The sights on the other side were very beautiful.

You need souvenirs? This is a great place to go. It's garish, yet still local-feeling. We enjoyed the street foods and candy shops, but there are plenty of other options. From fans to silk, this place has enough shopping to make your head spin.

This should probably be regarded as an area, from the drum tower to Hefang Street itself, rather than a single street. It is the old town, with some historical relics/buildings and typical Chinese market and restaurant area. Probably over-commercialised for my liking but still generates...More

Unlike similar streets in Bangkok & Hong Kong, Hefang Street (河坊街) is designed for locals & Chinese tourists. As a westerner myself, who does read or speak Mandarin, i got by, with hand gestures and pointing at what i wanted. For the most part, I...More

We visited Hefang Street by late March and found that the surrounding areas were under construction including part near Wushan Park. Nonetheless the shopping street and the restaurants around were still crowded with visitors. It was really nice to experience the traditional shops and stalls...More
