It's so serene and beautiful here once you can hike far enough into the fields that you don't see/hear the single road the bifurcates this village. It really does remind me of hiking through Laotian and Vietnamese jungles on previous trips to Asia.

It tastes like grass to me but my wife really liked it ! We purchased some to take home and while expensive I'm told it's the best. Not so sure about the "Polyphenol" green tea extract... More

I like the person presenting the tea demonstration. She was very good and her English was excellent. The price of the tea is very expensive so be prepared. I've never seen how tea were grown so it was a very good experience and a nice place to visit.

This village is well-known and I believe part of it is its proximity to town. Here they have an institute run by the government to promote Longjing tea and they have people to introduce the tea. Of course it only serves long jing tea  - organic with no pesticide. I came here and they explained the entire virtues of the... More

I went to the Meijia Dock by bike. To be honest, it was really a nice experience when you cycle on the road surrounded by the green mountains, I mean, the moutains was totally planted by the tea leaves. When you see the green tea leaves , you will feel a lot of fresh energy. It takes almost two hours to... More

The tea village is located 30 minutes outside of Hangzhou. The whole village cultivates the famous Longjing Tea “Dragon Well Tea,” The Chinese say the tea grown in that region around Meijiawu are the best because of the soil and weather. I’m glad that we had a chance to visit this quiet, relaxing and refreshing place. The mountain slope is... More

Not too far from the hustle of the Hangzhou city lies this tea field, with tea grown on hill after hill. Park the car, climb up and down the hill, move to the next hill and so on. You can easily spend the whole afternoon doing that. Or if you get tired, come to one of the many local restaurant... More

Green tea is very famous in this area and it is one of the region's biggest exports. It was really beautiful, lots of hills with elevated tea plantations and little villages scattered along the road. Getting to the top of a tea plantation is a lot of work in itself, I cannot imagine how the farmers get down from the... More
