Was there just last month and it was the blossom season for lotus flowers. They were so beautiful! Standing on top of the slim stems, the pink lotus flowers or sometimes bulbs, and the deep green leaves twist and dance in the light breeze, with the ripples of West Lake and bridge ways in the backdrop - the sight is... It was not the best season to visit Quyuanfenghe in April as the lotus would only bloom in summer months from July to September each year. Nonetheless the site was still very beautiful and quite enjoyable to go around the nice garden in the vicinity. Highly recommend to visitors when travelling to Hangzhou.

Do you like taking photos of gorgeous Lotus flowers, while enjoying a stroll in the nice Chinese garden? This is a must see when you are in Hangzhou. Make sure the season is right. August to mid September would be the best time to visit.

As a part of the Hangzhou West Lake scenic area, Quyuanfenghe highlights the beauty of the West Lake in summer. It is very tranquil to cool down in an early morning or a later afternoon to stroll along the garden. Tasting the fragrance of lotus, I feel so much refreshed.

Quanyuanfenghe is the top ten views of West Lake. The most appropriate season to visit Quyuanfenghe is July and August, when countless lotus are blooming in the pond. I went to visit it on August 20, 2014, though it’s very hot to visit in the summer, it cannot stop my yearning for beautiful scenery. Upon arriving, a pond of green... More

The huge garden is in it's best in summer when the lotus are blooming, but it is also packed with tourists. I started my day early at 5am for photography. It is enjoyable.

Good place to buy knicknacks, but rather touristy. Don't expect quality. Also lacks good places to eat.

One of the oldest streets in Hangzhou, despite the tourist trappings, you can feel the historic essence. Sit at a teahouse, close your eyes and listen to the stories of the street. Yes, it is worth an evening stroll as part of your Hangzhou visit.

Summer in Hangzhou is unbearable, luckily they got a perfect hide-out here! The garden is a part of West Lake Scenic Area and there is a vast pond filled with lotus. Take a walk along the shady pavements, you will feel the heat slowly fading away.

Visting in february 2014 (near the end of winter), we found quyuanfenghe quite cold and windy - not the most pleasant place we visited. Perhaps this place would make for a more pleasant winter during the warmer months, but in winter, you could give it a miss.
