Fish garden, 花港观鱼 is such a lovely place for the family with kids, regardless of the season.

Admission is free, and you can easily walk from either side of Xihu there.

Suitable for both children and elderly. Typically to spend 2 hours there.

Beautiful spot, would be lovely to see at night also while lit up. Great to take a ferry ride on the lake, plenty of photo opportunities.

The goldfish carries so much meaning to the local people. Come here to see the fish, learn the history but also to watch the locals. They pose for pictures and their heritage shows. From toddlers to grandparents, they love coming here. It was a simple pleasure to see!

A small garden with lovely lotus and colorful fish with footpaths that lead to the ferry cruise jetty. A nice place for family with kids to relax and watch the fish.

This walk was on the way to the boats to go to the middle of the West Lake. Lotus flowers were in bloom and the fish are all shades of white, orange and black. It is part of a relaxing walk and we just stumbled across it.

We were on our way to a boat to the island of lakes within lakes in the middle of West Lake. This garden area is fantastic. If with kids they will go crazy over the zillions of carp. But the trees and gardens themselves are nice and a good place to see Chinese local tourism at its most common. On a nice day go all the way across the causeway, or find a quiet spot (takes some looking!) and just relax.

Just part of West Lake tourist spots where many love to visit as it is shady and you get to see beautiful fishes swimming in the area. Great place to relax and enjoy yourself. Suitable and fun for young children.
