A very common Western style historical building that is not well maintained. The wall paper was peeling off with water damage. There is very little English information to read about the building either. Free entrance.

Nothing exciting, just a historical building. It was not very well presented and certainly not a place for foreigners as not English sign posted at all. Staff was not helpful and spoke very minimal English

Good to look at to see the architecture around sapporo. You dont have to specially walk to visit this place. Its quite close to sapporo station, nearby places are good for dining and taking nice pictures.

The building has some interesting history and very lovely gardens. Inside the building is like a museum with good displays and a few rooms were the displays are changed regularly. Worth a couple of hours to visit when staying at Sapporo.

This is the gorgeous building and the grounds around it are very beautiful. We used it to cut through to get to the train station but it was definitely one of the nicer spots in Sapporo and worth heading over to.

Not much to tell here, we just visited the outside park and lake, and took some selfies with the cherry blossom trees.

This building is well-known for its western-style architectural structures, once burned down and restored. Facilities available including a museum, library, reference room and souvenir shop. A large collection of historical materials and records of Hokkaido and numerous historical paintings. Worth a visit.

Budy I was there in January. It is winter time so everything is covered with snow. Not sure about the Cherry blossom in May though.
