It's October and we're here to see the Fall Colours. The Jozankei area is about 65minutes by bus, out of Sapporo, and a definite worthwhile day-trip. There are 4 Courses organised for day trippers, each lasting about an hour and 20minutes. So you can comfortably...More
I went to Jozankei onsen area in the afternoon. I bought a package ticket for round-trip bus transportation and onsen admission ticket which is an excellent deal. You can try any onsen of many hotels in Jozankei. On the way there, I took a local...More
Been to Jozankei town - Hoheikyo Onsen. The open onsen overseeing the snowy night sky with trees were simply spectacular. The only regret was we were there by evening & the last bus depart to town was 1950hrs …should have spend at least half a...More

We visited the onset in the Jozankei View Hotel based on a handy information sheet from the information centre detailing cost, opening times and towel availability. The view from the outdoor pools was just stunning. Within easy driving distance of both Sapporo and the airport.
The location of the hotel is in the outskirts but the hotel is spacious and very clean. The room is very Japanese very comfortable and clean. Buffet dinner was very good as the spread offered was Japanese and western.

My first onsen expirience went smoothly as every guy is naked and follow what others do. Rule of thumb for first timer is don't immerse in the onsen for more than 10 minutes and rest 5 minutes follow by going into jakuzzi or sauna or...More
