Needless to say these underground passageways are a great way to move from one part of the city to another - and during the cold autumn/winter months it's a great way to escape the cold.

while outdoor weather can be very cold, take a walk using this underground passage. You can still exercise your eyes here, plenty of shops and restaurants to offer.

This is one of the wonderful place in Sapporo. The underground malls is HUGH, connecting right from JR TOWERS to various MALLS and other part of Sapporo. There are many restaurants and shops around. One can spend hours in the underground visiting the shops and restaurants. The place is well kept with good signs directing the places around. A must... More

The great thing about it is that our hotel fed directly onto it. It extremely wide and allows for a lot of pedestrians. It leads to the Station which is a plus as well

No worries where you are heading to. As long you know where to exit, you will be fine. Plus, they provide you so many toilets that make senior citizens and kids easy.

Crowded but interesting to explore. Many shops and shopping areas. Unfortunately we did not have much time to really explore

Its a good place to hide from the Sapporo weather but there is not a whole lot to do. Hokkaido is more a outdoor place for me.

Very convenient way to get aroung the main places in sapporo. As soon as you get underground from the JR Sapporo Station (west end near daimaru vis the south exit) follow the signage (look up and also on the pillars). If i remembered correctly, always keep right and follow the signage to Eki-mae dori. There are lots of shops along... More

Sapporo Underground Pedestrian Space is one of the main attraction whereby one could shop and getting from North to South and West to East of the massive area covering all the train stations. One good reason we were using this as a gateway to all shopping areas and attractions is to avoid the cold and chill weather. It's clean and... More

Good alternative for tourists who prefer to walk and take in the views rather than a zippy train ride. Nice and pleasant, if a little long, walk from Susukino to the main Sapporo station and malls.
