This is our 2nd time here. Previously, we did the tour but it was not very meaningful as we did not understand jap. So this time round we walked around ourselves. There are english translations at each part of the exhibit. End by trying the...More

The museum was filled with a lot of history about Sapporo beer. Of course couldn't leave without a tasting!

I visited the Sapporo beer museum and beer garden alone back in April. Although i would say the museum isn't extensive. It is free and interesting to learn about the history of the beer. Then I had the opportunity to taste 3 beers from the...More

This museum is a little out of town center but is worth it. It is a lovely old brick building. There are two options for tours - a free self guided tour you can do or a Japanese language led tour which you have to...More

A great brewery started in the 1800's with beautifully constructed buildings. This lets you see the history with pictures and equipment from the beginning to present day of how and why this brewery came about. Worth the visit.

The (paid) guided tour is only available in Japanese. If you do not understand japanese, you can still walk through the displays and read them using translated cards at each exhibit. Highlight is definitely the tasting afterwards - if you take the guided tour, you...More

Initially i thought that there would be some actual production taking place here. Instead it's just a bunch of diagrams, exhibits, letters etc detailing the history of Sapporo Beer. You can probably just google all that information for yourself. Nevertheless, it was rather interesting. But...More

If you like beer, it's worth a look around the Sapporo Beer Museum. You can enjoy a few hours of (japanese) beer knowledge, not everything is subtitled in english though. Also, I recommend a visit to the food court, you'll get a nice Jingisukan experience!
