A museum on the history and development of Sapporo beer, mostly written on frames and plaques, and lots of pictures. At the end of the visit, you get to try out different Sapporo beers for a minimal amount. Nice place for adults but not so for children.

This was a highlight of our trip to Sapporo. It was easy to get to- about a 10 minute walk from the subway. If you eat meat, please try the Genghis Khan lamb dish in the local garten restaurant. My family and I don't usually eat lamb at home and were worried we wouldn't enjoy it but it was delicious... More

Great place to learn history of Sapporo beer. Premium tour (¥600) in Japanese but non Japanese speaking tourists can do the free tour which ends w chance to taste the beer or premium beer (non alcoholic). I strongly recommend you pair your beer w Gouda premium cheese which can be purchased at the vending machine dispensing your beer ticket. ¥100... More

Most of the displays are in Japanese with very little English translation. Understandable but with the very small amount of displays it made for a very short visit. The little shop was nice and the restaurant looked interesting but there were very few seats so we could not go and enjoy it. Missed out on having a glass of Sapporo... More

It's just a museum with the history written on frames and plaques. And the usual things that you see in a Museum. Its more on its Beginning ,Past and Present. I thought that we will be oriented on how they make beer... I thought there's a factory in there...But to my disaappointment, NADA.! By the way , at the end... More

The museum offers either a free tour or a premium tour (for 500 Yen, which includes ad guided tour but in Japanese only). We went for the free tour option and it was a small but enjoyable exhibition. The short threaten videos have English subtitles but everything else is in Japanese. If you wish to eat at the attached restaurant,... More

There are two ways to enjoy this museum. Free or premium. Premium seems to include 2 beers at the end of the trip and a guided tour. Free tour, you can just walk around looking at the brochures prepared. But at the end of the tour you can still enjoy the beer at a very good price. Mostly 200 yen.... More

It was so special to visit this museum......it provided an insight into brew making. It was educational and also "filling"......we tried the "Genghis Kan" grilled lamb with our Sapporo Beer! It was a most tasty experience......Warning: Don't wear your "Sunday Best"... I was surprised to see diners before us using large clear plastic bags to put their jackets in. We... More

Visit the brewery and taste the freshly brewed beer! We did not take any guided tour since we have young kids with us. The exterior of this place are really nice photo spots too. Too bad, we were still full from our lunch, if not we would want to try the BBQ lamb and pork!
