The Sapporo Snow Fest is wonderful. It have lots of snow sculptures, this year main theme is Star Wars. This event is well organized with helpers around to guild the flow of people walking thru the park and between the traffic lights. The park is spacious (10 blocks) and clean.

The ice sculptures were 40 feet high, what a way to have a hot drink and go for a walk. Start at the tower, and walk to the end, then catch a bus back.

Visited in February for the Snow Festival. A huge park that spans like 12 blocks, very easy access to and around the park. This festival site should be visited at least once during the day and another time during the evening/night as the atmosphere changes with the coloured lights and projection images. If lucky, will also catch some performances at... More

I really love going to Odori Park. It has a great scenery and it's also a place where you can just sit and relax. But one of the things I look forward to are the events that happen at the Park. During each season theres like a 1-2 week long event. These events are fun and great because theres a... More

It's a must see and visit during the Snow Festival with big snow sculptures but night has more to offer with the light and music shows. Wrap up and keep yourself warm. It was -5 in the night especially if you want to watch some performances like the skiing and snowboarding! It's very crowded and lots of food to enjoy.

We heard so much about the snow festival and had researched it on the Internet. It turned out to be much smaller than we expected and we were very disappointed. Apparently the input of the self defence force has been reduced and this affected the number and quality of the exhibits. We hope that it improves in future for the... More

Although very crowded, its well worth it. Go early or late for less crowds and better views. Use underground walkway, for more enjoyable access. Remember the numbers of exits though, lest you get lost.

This park is formed along the main street of Sapporo city. Around the beginning of February, Snow Festival is held in this park.
