One of Japan’s most famous entertainment districts, Susukino is teeming with noodle restaurants, clubs, shops and pachinko parlors. Pachinko is a cross between pinball and slot machines.

Susukino is a good place to take some nice night photos but apart from restaurants not much to do. Lots of "red light" type establishments. If you are in Sapporo it's worth going for a quick look but it's mainly a dubious district for locals.

You'll never go hungry if you stay in this neighborhood. I didn't know this was a red light district until I read the reviews here. It is a very safe neighborhood with many eataries and is a stone's throw from Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade.
