The area is full of restaurants. You can easily get something delicious to eat, soup curry, tempura, beef, oyster .... You can also shop your souvenirs, groceries, non prescript medicine easily in Tanukikoji Shopping Street.

Was here for the ice world festival, very disappointed, unless you are in the area for shopping or food, do not just make your way here for the festival, very ordinary ice sculpture. The ones at Asahikawa Winter Festival are very much better and in a different league.

Shopping. Very generic shopping. Lots of tax free shop. Buy above ¥5000 and immediate refund of tax. Good to buy cosmetics and japanese snacks.

A good district to stay in. Plenty of restaurants and convenience stores located in the area. Night in Susukino is beautiful and somehow reminds me of Tokyo...

Stayed at Mercure Hotel which is near to all tourist attractions e.g - clock tower, Odori Park, JR station. There's a fish market just 5 minutes walk from hotel. A Street Mall is also about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Lots of eating shops along the mall. Savor the fresh seafood at the fish market.

A very happening place that is close to everything. Just a stone's throw away from Tanukikoji shopiing streets and many great ramen eateries. Underground shopping areas link Susukino to Sapporo Station, with Otaru Park in between. We popped into the malls when it was too cold and got out when we needed the snow. Very bustling place that is very... More

Visited both day time and night time. Night was better with the lights on the ice sculptures. Would make better photos if they had some barrier in the middle so pictures did not pick up parts of the sculptures directly behind each other. Lots of restaurants in the area that have reasonable prices.
