The walk through the Maruyama Park was lovely in winter. My kids had so much fun playing with snow in the park. After that, it's a lovely peaceful walk to the shrine. We could see that booths had all been set up on either side...More

We went here on New Year's day. It was very crowded, but we enjoyed all the food booths and the lively atmosphere.

Visited this shrine and spent about an hour there. Peaceful with a beautiful compound. Shrine was well maintained and the shop sells some of the most beautiful amulets.

Amazing traditional shrine, and do take note of the specific instructions when washing your hands! For those visiting during winter, be careful of the slippery ground!

Located in the right beside the park and within a short walk from the small zoo. Less than 10 minutes walk from the Maruyama Koen station. You could enjoy the park and the zoo too before settling down for a great seafood at Jyogai Ichiba.
