Not only for sake tasting, but also sake cup collection are amazing

This brewery shows small collection of precious and rare artistic sake cups. In this occasion, we can see “l’art de table” in sake.

We got to the Brewery area late and the lady in the store was really kind to make a little sake tasting for the two of us. Even if we didn't speak more than a few words in japanese, and she none in english, she was really kind and we understood most of the things she wanted to show us,... More

The museum provides you with extensive information on the history of - and brewing - of sake. Shop and assortment of sakes could perhaps have been better. However: Staff is friendly and helpful if you'd like to try various sakes.

Kiku-masamune had a small museum part with a short video (English) to introduce the history of sake and how they still make sake following their tradition. They had free samples of sake, and their sake shop area also had a varieties of sake related cosmetic products and accessories made from sake bags, which were really appealing. Got some souvenirs for... More

I am not a drinker, but my friends who tasted the samples were quite impressed. The extensive museum offers much to see in terms of exhibits, an English language video, and a well stocked gift shop. The best feature for me was the exquisite garden complete with river run water wheel that powered display equipment in a small out building.

There is a leaflet available which briefly outlines what you will see at this museum, (a front yard with garden design and waterwheel, the entrance hall with exhibits, the tasting corner, shop and museum exhibits) As other reviewers have noted the amount of English language information is limited, but as for most visitors the main event will be the sake... Worth a gander, the staff at this brewery museum we incredibly friendly and helpful. A 10 minute video in a small theater gave a good priming on on the brewing process, and the well written English pamphlet was great too, however, as is common in museums here, none of the exhibits had English labels, which was quite a let-down. Barring... More

Although the staff were very friendly and helpful, there is very little English support other than a 10min. introductory video. Although it was interesting to see all the original sake brewing equipment, it would have been nice if they had comprehensive English explanations for each item! You can try any of the items for sale. The shopkeeper helped us choose... More
