Kyoto by bike

Luv'd this tour and great for families. Kyoto is suited to bike riding, followed paths and when on road not much traffic. And of course Kyoto had amazing places to visit

We had the best time on this tour, Risa was delightful and full of really interesting information. We saw all sorts of things including a Sumo Wrestler waiting for the Bus!

We had a wonderful time with our lovely guide Risa and a wonderful trainee guide too. It was great to have a better understanding of the temples and shrines.

Tomo was a great tour guide. Despite the cold rainy weather, I enjoyed learning about the history of the 3 temples/areas visited. We even had spare time to quickly visit a 4th site, which was not technically part of the tour. Tomo took time to answer questions and even made a great suggestion for the Gion Corner show. I would... More

Great tour guide - he was from Australia so perfect english but he is obsessed with Japan and has a depth of knowledge on the history and on Kyoto. Great youthful vibe and really well put together tour.

I enjoyed this bike tour, me and my partner only had 1 day to spend in Kyuoto and this was a simple half day tour to do. We got to enjoy the sights of the city as well as a temple and a shrine. The tour guide was cute and friendly.

Had an amazing time on the tour with Tomo. A very good walking tour that went through some of the best spots in Kyoto. Tomo was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of the questions I had and also provided very good information about each of the sites that were visited. Ending the night at Gion while it... Very disappointed with this tour. We booked many activities during our trip to Japan and this was by far the worst. It was very expensive for what it was, didn't offer any discount for kids even though their entrance tickets and transit fares were 50% that of adults, route was poorly planned (after transiting to the meeting point we immediately... The tour was great. Risa, our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We used local transportation and it added to the experience. A great half day.

Had a great tour with Risa! We hit a few of the most popular spots in Kyoto and I learned a lot of interesting things even though I had already been in Kyoto for a few days prior to the tour. The tour was mostly couples, but I was there solo and it worked out great for me.

Thank Alison H

Staying in Southern Kyoto

Neighbourhood Profile
Southern Kyoto
Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist attractions, the surrounding nature, parks, gardens, temples, and shrines provide less-visited spaces for strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the mountain they are dotted across beckons hikers, picnickers, and lovers of the outdoors. Many of the mountain's off-set paths aren't frequented by tourists, and the mountain's serenity can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Southern Kyoto is the place to enjoy being outside, and to pay your respects to the ancient architecture and gods of the land that are celebrated here.
