Beautiful temple that is not overly crowded by tourists in comparison to temples in Kyoto central. The temple itself is one of 20+ sites on the trail. There are many stairs to prepare yourself for a small but beautiful hike surrounded by forests and water

Some of the hike is quite steep in parts so some level of fitness would be recommended but.... the hike and scenery are quite amazing with lovely temples nestled into the mountainside. We hiked from Kurama to Kibune.
