The gardens here are small but amongst the most inspiring gardens i have ever visited. The gardens are in the centre of the town.

If you go to Kyoto and visit Kinkakuji Temple, you need to take some time to visit this gem. This temple offers beautiful sand gardens where you can feel really quiet and feel like you are miles apart from the crowds in kinkakuji.

Very relaxing place, there is no admission fee around this place. It is a place to offer cheap tourism. (However, Ninwa Temple Black Book Office is charged.) とても落ち着く場所、この周りは拝観料はかかりません。安価な観光を提供する場所です。(ただし、二和寺 黒書院は、有料です)

It wasnt as crowded as the other temples we went to which was good. I read that it is more beautiful during spring. It was a pocturesque place with the autumn colors and there is a 5 storey pagoda.

Nice place to walk around and take some photos. There is a pagoda in the complex and a pavillion. Best to visit if visiting the golden pavillion nearby.

artistry of the Ryoanji Temple rock gardens, and the
bold red paint across the structures of Enryakuji
