Rokkakudo is a small temple, but famous as the base of Ikenobo Kado (a school of flower arrangement). There is a stone called "Heso Ishi", and it was considered once as the center of Kyoto. The entrance is free, so it is worth to visit.

Great stop when in central Kyoto, especially if on a tourist trip and with little time to see the other major attractions. The temple is well kept and it's nested in a group of buildings that surround it.

The Rokkaku-do Hall or the Choho-ji Temple is located in a small corner at the Shijo-Karasuma area (Fourth Avenue at Karasuma Street) which is a business centre of the city of Kyoto. It is also close to the western end of the famous Nishiki-koji grocery...More

Came here on a rainy day and was delighted by everything. The highlight was the pink Sakura tree which was in full bloom and the unexpected swans. Definitely a nice little find. :)

City Center
No district of Kyoto is quite as representative of its

bring deal hunters and fashionistas out in droves to
peruse the clothing, accessories, gifts, and home
goods offerings. When it grows dark, the City Center
is a hip spot for nightlife, alive with bars and
