I wasn't expecting a lot from Tsutentaku but I wanted to visit because I heard there was a Musculman (Kinikuman) exhibition inside and I'm a fan of the series. In the end the exhibition is really small and not that interesting but the tower itself...More

There’s a pretty old, old school arcade and some very interesting shops. There’s also a Japanese dojo and Mahjong dojo.

Sure, there are better and higher observation decks in Osaka but after going past this towers for almost 20 years, it was nice to finally go there. Just north of the Dobutsuen-mae subway station, you can find this tower in the "colourful" Shin Sekai part...More

We took the subway to this area and walked around for a couple of hours. Fun tourist stores and many local restaurants. Nice area of old Osaka.

Aesthetically speaking, Tsutenkaku tower isn't anything special. Just a steel tower with some night lights. But the views from the observation deck of the tower are great. It's a nice way to see the Osaka cityscape from a higher perspective but other than that, it's...More

The tower is an Osaka icon with plenty of fantastic photo ops from the streets below. Actually going inside, on the other hand, is underwhelming and pricey. Skip the entry fee and buy some local street food. If you're in downtown Osaka you should definitely...More

This much older tower looks fine and is right next to the Osaka Zoo. It is a much older vintage tower than the newer, taller Umeda Observation deck. The queue can be quite long, waiting for an hour at peak times is not unusual. The...More

A taste of Osaka from yesteryear. Many dining and shopping options and less crowded than Dotonbori which basically offers the same experience. Definitely a must do!
