The aquarium collection and information given was quite extensive. Worth of the visit. Ans they have the sunfish !! Surrounding the front area of this aquarium had very nice lighting, pretty illuminations. They have a roundwheel to go up for Osaka view, as well. No...More

This aquarium was definitely the best I've been to. All the tanks/enclosures were high quality, the animals all looked well cared for and happy, and there is so much to see. Don't despair if you don't get a good look at something, since you will...More

Some wonder if they should include the Kaiyukan Aquarium in their Osaka itinerary. Wonder no more and pencil the place in. For admission, we recommend Osaka Kaiyu Ticket that allows you entry to the aquarium (by passing the need to queue for ticket, just scan...More

Many aquatic animals here, but the main attraction would be the whale shark no doubt. There were also other seldom seen fishes such as the sunfish.

Not your average aquarium. I love everything about this place! Feels like i am a little kid again. Got carried away by looking at all the fishes and the highlight is the seal haha! Must visit!

Stunning large tank, I could have spent hours watching the fish. Highlight though was the jellyfish tanks. Absolutely gorgeous.

Amazing aquarium with many floors. Beautiful interior and exterior. You're even allowed to pet some animals on one floor. I suggest you come during the day because there are no artificial lights in some animals' habitats, so you'll just see them sleeping in the dark.

Check if your hotel sells the tickets. we stayed at universal port and they sold the tickets and ferry tickets also. Very easy and not crowded day we went. Never saw any lines to get it. Well organised. Enjoy.
