Well worth visiting and going to the top viewing gallery. The various floors on the way have a variety of artefacts which are interesting but a little repetitive. Get the lift to the 5th floor and then to the viewing gallery if you are disabled...More

Although the castle is not big, but it is an impressive structure to showcase the historical architecture of Japan. The museum also provides good educational tour for people who want to know about the unification of Japan during the warring eras.

Osaka castle is a lovely example of Japanese architecture set in parkland with far reaching views over the city. Busy yet still serene, it was a perfect end to our Japanese adventure.

Ww didn't realize this but the inside of the castle was *not* its original design or a reconstruction of it, but rather a 5 floor museum of the history of Osaka and its battles. It was interesting and some of it very well done, just...More

Castle opens and closes as stated 9-5, i think your find the grounds outside the moat are open 24 hours? main reason being they have venues nearby. The grounds inside the moat are locked down.
