This temple was a hidden gem near a neighborhood in Osaka. I went there by taxi so I couldn't tell the station names. The photo opportunities are so many that you can't miss. This is highly recommended if you want some time away from the...More

This was a really interesting and beautiful place on the outskirts of Osaka. We went on a rainy and cloudy day and immediately saw the entry bridge which was my favorite part. The temple was an interesting mix of Shinto and Buddhist influence together. It...More

No entrance fee. This was very peaceful, not tons of tourists. Best part was the bridge, pretty views on each side. Worth a quick stop if you're in the area. If short on time, this was not a must see.

I used the tram to reach this temple (210¥) from near Abeno Station. It has nice views and the temple is quite beautiful. No english writings whatsoever though, but it's free and not very crowded.

Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine is just few meters away from the equally beautiful Sumiyoshi Park. The shrine is old but was preserved nonetheless. At the time of my visit there are too many banners hanging around with kanjis. Most of us doesn't know about these banners...More

The park and the temples are beautiful! I am surprised that there are only few visitors when we came, but it was also a good thing to be away from the crowds. The red bridge is stunning! Just be careful crossing it. It is made...More

This place was very quiet, soothing, but to be expected at a shrine to pray at. The shrine grounds were big and there were lots of places to pray at.

It's nice to visit this place, especially if you are fun of Japanese culture. Good for street food like okonomiyaki.

I wanted to stop off there in the morning before my flight from Kansai in the evening. Is there anywhere to store a small suitcase of luggage? Grasping for straws, but you never know! Thank you.

What type of luggage do you have? I don't remember there specifically being any lockers in the facility but there may be some in the Sumiyoshi Taisha station that is within walking distance! If you have a backpack you will... More
