You can find cosmetic, branded clothes and can process refund tax directly while shopping at Daimaru Shinsaibashi

The main building is under repair or construction. The tax return is packed. If you show your passport and buy over 3000 JPY you get 5% off and tax returned on buys on the 4th fl of the North tower.

Maybe the only large department store in shinsaibashi area, it's pretty ordinary. Polite staff greet you everywhere throughout the 14-15 stories. Shinsaibashi and it's shopping street are a unique Japanese experience. Prepare for large but polite crowds, store clerks shouting at the tops of their lungs to grab your attention, and a diversity of stores, cafes, and pachinko parlors. All on one pedestrian friendly street.
