We went here as part of a shore excursion. It was right before a rain storm so the view was non-existent, only thick clouds and fog. So check the weather first. There is an interesting shrine park next to the entrance, a gift shop and...More

This is the night view that beats Hakodate and Osaka. But if you are looking for a night view that allows you to have a 360 degrees good look of the city, you might be disappointed since Nagasaki City is a rather long-shaped city and...More

we were limited to only one day in Nagasaki and starting with a ride in the cable car to the top of Mount Inasa was a great idea. The cable car (rope way) is very small and "quaint" - it runs about every 15-20 minutes...More

We expected some spectacular views but came away underwhelmed. I realised that the photos we saw advertising the night view were greatly enhanced. In reality, it was nice but but not "brilliant". Had I know, I would not have forked out the rather pricey 5...More

You can drive (or walk) up the road to this observation tower, but taking the cable car is very fun. When you get to the top, you walk along the road to the observation building, where you can get beautiful views around the city. You...More

You can catch a bus from the station and take the ropeway to the top. Fantastic views over the city. Well worth a visit. Good price and nice staff. Commentary is in English as well as Japanese

Not the best day to do this, as it was closed in and cloudy so the visibility was non existent. However the cable car is well organised and on a good day the view must be fantastic.

Cold at night, remember to bring clothes. Beautiful. We stay long, but no worry for the free bus service to Nagasaki Station, it is easy to catch other bus service (pay) just down hill opposite site.

It is a spectacular view but if westerner? like most everything in Kyushu area there is no English. So you see a nice view but no history. I took pictures and the pictures on my phone are the same in the brochure. But the view...More

A summer visit would probably give a good nights view as claimed, being 3rd in the world after Hong Kong and Monaco. It was quite chilly and cloudy, thus don't find it as amazing as it says. Nevertheless, the rope way ride, and the view...More

You can drive all the way up to the top of Mt Inasa and there are some parking spaces (about 20 only).

Not sure, as I took shuttle bus from JR station to the cable car station via tourist information centre
We will be visiting Mt INasa in March 2017 . We arrive by ship and are only there for the day. I am a bit confused as to what public transport we can catch in the morning and also our return trip. Is there anything else nearby that can be recommended. I also see mention of discount vouchers. How would we get those. Thank you in advance for your assistance Marilyn

If you can get to Nagasaki Station, there's bus No. 5 right outside it that will take you to like more than halfway up the mountain and you can walk up for like 20 minutes from where you get off the bus; that will be cheaper... More
