The Shrine sits on the top of a low hill. From the tramways level, there is a long climb over 300 to 400 steps to reach the Shrine. There is the other option of driving to a car park at a higher street level, but...More

This shrine is a beautiful place for some quiet reflection, and watching spectacular weddings if you are lucky. The shrine is popular for weddings, but also has significance as a maritime blessing site. A must for its beauty and peacefulness.

Title says it all. There was some renovation working going on when I viisted - but it was still worth. Quite a grand entrance from the main road right down below. Liked the Torii gates. Shame the old teahouse was shut. Wasn't much information in...More

I have been here for many times and last time I went here my fiancee proposed to me! So you can see that here is really nice place for history and day view. You can see Nagasaki from the top of the shrine.

Most beautiful little temple, with a very convienient transportation to the foot of it's stairs. Not that many visitors, so it had a quiet serene feel to it. It has a free attached zoo very close to the shrine.
