Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Memorial is a fitting shrine to "Tunku" the architect of Malaysian independence. The extensive exhibition rooms contain all manner of memorabilia, photographs etc. connected with the life of Tunku and detailed information about the movement he led to achieving independence in 1957.There is so much to take in that one visit is not really sufficient.
If the museum is not enough attached is the wonderfully preserved colonial residence in which you're freely allowed to wander around. You can enter the bedrooms including Tunku's; the dining room laid for dinner; lounges etc. Much of the original furniture and ornaments from the period have been left as they were in the rooms so the residence is highly evocative of the period. The large house was the official residence of the British Governor from the 1890s up to the late 1940s and was later lived in by Tunku as Malaysia's first prime minister after independence.
This (together with the Negara Bank Gallery opposite) make a good day out and deserves top billing as an attraction. Free entrance.

A memorial of Malaysia's first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman.
First time visiting this memorial and because it is so big, i couldn't find the exit BUT i had fun. Every single event and details that happened during his time are explained. Before & after independence, articles and other interesting things. Apart from that, they also have his personal collections, clothing, a photo gallery and other things. If you are a huge fan of history and want to know about Malaysia, this is the perfect place. Good place to explore and would definitely come back here!
Entrance Fee : FOC
Hours Spent : 1 - 2 hours.
Parking space available.

This place is filled with information about Malaysia's First prime minister. Overall, it is a good place for history lovers and also a good and educational place for parents to bring their children. However, some of the interactive display requires maintenance. The museum can really fun.

i think this is the biggest memorial that we have in Malaysia. For history buff, they might take 2-3 hours to finish explore this whole place. Many interesting historical items on display including 2 vintage cars. But the interactive videos didnt working. I hope they can fix this problem. This memorial is located opposite to the Bank Negara Museum.
