Gives a false impression of safety
Every 10minutes a train on a Sunday which I think was pretty good. They have a women’s only section which makes solo female travelers feel safe; however I felt that it’s a false sense of safety as it’s not being enforce which makes the women’s only section even more vulnerable than other sections. While riding the train, there were a few men who alighted and started giving funny stares to all the women around; and when a lady told them that this a female only section, they refused to leave.

    Cyberjaya City Centre-
On 1/7/2024 , I took the MRT back to Cyberjaya City Centre. Unaware during check out , my MY50 has insufficient fund. A ticketing staff Puan Faizilah came to my rescue and topped up my card (which I paid her back later) willingly. Such kind gesture must be applauded and praise. Syabas MRT for awesome customer service. Thank you .

    Modern, Sleek Train System
This is a really nicely presented train system. The MRT appears to be quite modern, running very sleek and efficient trains. I especially liked the fact that the trains are driverless, meaning that if you can bag a seat at the front, you can get an excellent view of the tunnels! The trains and station platforms are also kept in an immaculate condition. What would I change? The trains run every 10 minutes, which I think is just a bit too infrequent for a metro system. However, this isn't the end of the world considering how punctual this system is. Overall, I would highly recommend using this MRT line!

It’s horrendous ride as they kept announcing over & over again that mask is MANDATORY over their PA system but however no proper enforcement is being carried out. Even their staffs turn a blind eye on those violating the rules just because it’s their fellow Muslim brethren. As an American citizen on posting to your lovely country we too ought to be treated with decency. Not just glaring & abusing us when we pointed out that people are not complying with the regulations.

Please test us as a fair citizen as well. We are here on official diplomatic posting & not here to take away anyone’s job.

PLEASE ensure proper enforcement of announcements on the PA system with regards to MANDATORY mask up. You can imposed a penalty against defaulter not complying to the rules set forth. Alternatively, make full use of the close circuit camera & make an announcement pin pointing the defaulters for not complying.

I used this MRT service extensively during my trip to Kuala Lumpur. I stayed at multiple areas like bandar tun hussein onn, taman maluri and kota damansara. All these areas are connected by this metro service. The trains and the stations are very clean. The ride is very affordable as well as comfortable. It is not that crowded and there is also a MRT feeder bus service for last mile connectivity.

The MRT Station adjoined the One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya, so that convenience was excellent. It is a most effective way to travel to key areas of Kuala Lumpur in comfortable and clean carriages at a very reasonable cost. It also offers connections to other means of Public Transport.

The convenience of the transport is there. The only draw back of it is that as an MRT where M being for mass the crowd control of the whole system is poor.
There are only 4/8 exit catering for the mass population trying to exit the station especially during peak hrs.
Secondly the busses should allow passengers to hop on while waiting for their departure rather then only opening their doors when it's departure time. Won't that actually affect the punctuality of the busses?
Rapid KL management should take alot into all these to make the whole system more efficient
It's more of an average rating for me as the efficiency of it is pretty poor.

We had to travel on the MRT between Bukit Bintang & Sungai Buloh each day and found it one of the most excellent city train systems. Even on weekends and late at night there was a train every 9 minutes at the most. It was only about RM4 ($1.30aus) each way. As it's a driverless train stand at the front and enjoy the view. At the stations the train stops in exactly the same place and as the doors open the "fence" on the platform opens to let passengers out. Don't forget to take your headphones as the train has the same electronic music on high rotation.

KL MRT has station in Bukit Bintang that can be used for convenient access to the main shopping district and eating at Jalan Alor. main entrances/exits are at Jalan Alor, Lot 10 and across the street next to Pavilion. The Bukit Bintang station also sells the "Touch N Go" card which is really for the MRT system (and from our info, nothing else such as buses)--each card costs RM10.20 (card cost: RM5.20, loading fee: RM0.50, MRT ride value: RM9.50) However, you can only use RM6.50 of the card since the card is rendered nonfunctional if the balance is below RM3.00. Reloading (adding value) to card has to occur in RM10.00 increments.
Additionally, if you visited Muzium Negara by MRT and want to go to KL Sentral, you have to pay to enter the Muzium Negara station and walk to KL Sentral station and exiting there will cost RM0.80 (Muzium Negara security guard told us to ask MRT staff to let us through for free but that didn't happen).
We visited KL a few years ago when the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang (SBK) line was not operational. SBK has the same deficiencies as the monorail line in that (1) you cannot access KL Sentral directly, one must walk to KL Sentral to make the connection and (2) you also have to walk to connect to Dang Wangi to get to KLCC. SBK has the advantage over monorail because you can walk inside with air conditioning as compared to hot outdoors for the KL Sentral connection.
The trains and stations are clean and takes less time than using the free buses. The new stations have escalators and minimum number of steps which make it convenient for people with mobility issues.
