    Typical Chinese Markets
What a typical Chinese Market with loads of clothing, handbags and wallets, food as well as restaurants. An attraction that comes to life in the afternoon to 9 or 10 pm at night. Don't go too early as all the stalls are not open yet.

    A good strool
Not much variety, knock off hand bags, luggage, and tee shirts. Food stalls and a few restaurants around. Pass Chinatown and go to Larong Petaling 2 street for great street art. That was the highlight for me!

    Chinese shopping market
A very lively chinese market in town. There are lot of chinese foods and lot of sellers. You can also buy malaysia's souvenir and affordable stuff (clothes, bags, shoes, etc). Good for shopping. Very crowded as usual. There are also hostel and mini market along the street.

Charming market but beware rip off tuktuk guy.
The market is beside lovely ponds and it's a romantic place to stroll through for good prices and little haggle. Beware the tuk tuk driver at exit who has a blue flash colourful tuktuk and claims to have a meter- which he doesnt- as he is a complete rip off. Always take the red tuktuks. He was my only bad experience in the whole of Sri Lanka.

    Small but happening
This is Chinatown guys. It is essentially this petaling street and another perpendicular street. Very small area but cramp full of eateries and some retail. Lots of people around when we reach there at noon. There’s a happening vibe here which makes this small place attractive.

    Chinatown in Petaling street
If you are looking for Chinatown in KL then look no further than Petaling street. This is where it began. There are many reasons why one would go to Chinatown in many cities in the world including admiring the art, culture and traditions. Buying Chinese food products including bakkwa, my brother’s favourite, a similar product to jerky. Many Chinese cuisines available here and some of the earliest restaurant for eg Hainanese chicken rice was right here and still here right now. The copies or fake designer bags, shoes, watches can be bought in the street market opening times 9am to 10pm. Practice your bargaining skills; mine is to walk away.

    China Town Market
China Town Market or Petaling Street Market. Many narrow roads and alleys having hundreds of shops and stalls. Many stray sellers with artificial watches. This is the only place I found sugar cane juice in Malaysia. Do not forget to bargain

Not just a night market. Also open during the day
Good fun, haggling expected and all very well spirited and tourist friendly. Lots of good quality replica bags/clothes/watches etc especially if you ask specifically for best quality and they understand you mean ‘best’. If I was travelling alone I would prefer visiting the markets during the day as it’s a bit of a maze in the backstreets and easy to get lost, especially if you don’t have a good map or internet activity on your phone.

Love the atmosphere at night. A must do whilst in KL
Always a fun place to visit. I love the atmosphere at night and went around 6pm. Must try some of the street food whilst there - it is amazing! For goods make sure you bargain/barter hard. We started just above half the asking price. Be aware that it’s often hard to get a grab or taxi home at night / closing from here.

China town during Lunar New Year 🧧
Full of sellers, stalls of snacks, copy of big brands sneakers 👟 or watches or perfumes and a lot of food in parallel streets. We gave up going through whole Petaling street and found restaurant instead. If you would like to buy some copies then negotiate hard.

This is worth visiting but less so for the bargains that it once was but there are some food gems in this area. You would learn about the gems if you had time to explore the area or learnt from a tour. It is interesting and frenetic and is a cultural experience.

Just a street full of replicas . Be prepared to haggle . We went early so it wasn’t too hectic but by lunch it was already filling up . Nothing special but if you have an hour or 2 to spare it’s a pleasant walk

This street sells almost the same stuff. The stuff they sell is very good but you must bargain. The Chinese stall people are very rude. They will not give a good bargain.

Just a street with a ton of knock off goods for sale and vendors that hassle you to buy touristy knick knacks. Not very impressive in my opinion, but worth a quick walk through.

I love Kuala Lumpur, the shopping and food at Petaling Street Markets were great and I got some great bargains as well as a cheap meal. The exchange rate for Australians is still much the same as it's ever been, unlike Europe where everything worked out so much more expensive.
