Food has always been part of our communities. Having multiple ethnicities where you live gives you great chance to be a part of so many celebrations. And with all these celebrations there is always a meal. So you see, us Malaysians take our food very seriously.

Food Tour Malaysia Food in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur is unique. Some dishes here you will not be able to find in other parts of the country, and if you do, chances are that they probably could trace their roots to these 2 cities. Penang being the only other exception. The daily ritual of eating communally is one of the most endearing of Malaysian experiences. It is warm, and it's at the dinner table where you get to really understand and get the authentic 'feel', the heartbeat of the Malaysian community.

What an amazing tour we had with Ken and Charlie. We ate food from the three major Malaysian cultural backgrounds, Malay, Chinese and Indian. We ate to our hearts delight and learnt so much more information relating to the harmonious mix of cultures in this amazing country. Thank you to our great tour guides!

While we are new expats in KL we had friends visit this week so it was the perfect excuse to do a food tour! We are certainly glad we did...it's definitely one of the highlights of our Malaysian experiences so far. Our guide Farah was great...very knowledgeable about the food culture here...we had some great laughs and good conversation and... More

I booked online and was given good instructions as to where to meet our guide Charles. We were the only 2 on that day tour so had great personal service. We had a bit of a history tour along the way which added to the whole experience. We tasted a variety of food and as well as giving us confidence... More

Local favourites at famous stalls off the beaten track. Come hungry because Jesi and Baptist feed you well, up to 10-15 dishes. They're accommodating, attentive to our questions, and safe driving. Also knowledgeable about Penang island and George Town itself. While we ate with Jesi, Baptist would bring more food from different stalls in the same area. They sent us... More

Whole new taste experience street food we normally wouldn't have tried found to be really good, and new combinations of flavors that were so nice, from pick-up with our guide Charlie who was great fun and very informative (a bit of a ladies man) he kept us entertained the whole night. From bar-B-Q fish paste to steam buns to peanut... More

Met Charlie in Taman Paramount, went for carrot cake, hokkien noodles, fish head curry and satay. All with some lime juice. We thought it couldn't get better. Charlie goes to get apa malik. Wordless. Off to the most absurdly fragrant nasi lemak ever with a side of otak-otak. Finished the tour with a trip to roti-puri heaven. Charlie, you're awesome.... More

What an amazing experience! Was there on business and went with a friend on the Penang tour with Kevin first. Kevin is a former chef. We went to places we never would have found on our own. We tried crazy but delicious street food and traditional fare. Topped it off with nutmeg drink. Kevin was terrific. What an experience! When... More

Fantastic food in places we would never have found and good stories to go with them. We had the pleasure of Farrah as our guide and had a private tour as the others didn't turn up due to the weather. Was so full at the end I was given my mango lassi in a take out bag :)
