I had (still having) horrible experience buying a customized PC from a shop called brightstar. Three parts of the PC (motherboard, cooler and processor) started having problem after about 6 months. Upon giving it for warranty service, its been 3 months and still hasnt returned the parts, plus most of my data is corruoted in the process.

Dont recommend this shop at all. Horrible experience.

Be carefu of the shop keepers. We purchased a wireless charger and asked them to show it is working on our cell. It wasnt, so we asked them for a refund. They denied and asked us to instead exchange for something else. It was 800 ringgit and it wasnt ethical of them to not refund.

You’ll find All things mobile and telecom here, products, services and repairs. A huge shout out to the Hong Kong restaurant in the main floor, most authentic and comprehensive selection we’ve come across ( and we’re from HK). A 10/10 for taste, selection and quality, all at an awesome price. The bbq duck is to die for 👍🏼

Pushy aggressive sales men on every level and outside every store. They talk to you even if you are walking by and are obviously not interested. The next store does the same thing, even though they saw you ignored the first guys. I went to Siri computer on the second floor. One sales guy came up to me to talk and so I asked him where Siri computer was (i knew it was on that floor). He told me it was upstairs.....so he was trying to send me to the wrong place, because i wouldn't buy from him. I ignored him and then 5 steps later and i found it. Now I know what it must be like to be annoyed by papparazzi!

I went to Plaza low yat yesterday and I wanted to buy a galaxy note 3. I asked for one and the sales guy said that he will go and bring one from the other shop, So I was thinking why is he taking soo long to bring one , then I was still waiting for over 15 minutes and then he still didnt come, So I knew that they were planning something. So this is an advise to anyone going to this mall as they cheat alot of people and watch out their phones are all fake. Believe me you will get cheated if you think that they are original. Keep this always in mind. Thanks

I was looking for a gorillapod (small n flexible tripod) which i bring one for an example..
I was asking the information, and they told me a wrong level..
After almost 30minutes i found a shop that convince me if they have it.
They show me the item, and i said that it seems different,,
They told me that it was the newest style..
They talk in mandarin language which i didn't understand..
And they broke the seal without my permission and ask me to pay..
Since i've been so tired that day i decided 2 pay n take it with..
And whalaaa.. It useless.. Just like a hand without a bone...
Damn!!! I hate shopping there!!!

Just off the famous Bukit Bintang Mall precinct (next to Sungei Wang) is Low Yat Plaza, a 7-storey, 500-retailer mecca for low priced consumer electronics. They have the latest of everything you can imagine in lifestyle electronics, IT and accessories. You can barter for better prices - some stores will discount, some won't. My 13 year old son was in geek heaven and scored some great gaming headphones. Also found a Nintendo for the wee guy at a good (and negotiable) price. However, I had a bad experience at a store called Magic, the store at the top of the escalator, one level up from the main entrance. I bought 2 Nintendo game chips - real licensed ones, not knock offs - but when I got back to the hotel, one of the boxes had no chip in it. My wee guy was crushed and I was out of pocket US$60. I contacted the store later but they refused to supply the missing chip.

While my experience of most stores in this mall was good, some may bit a bit dodgy and there's little comeback. So, it's important to check the contents of boxes - even if they look professionally packaged - and check that your purchases are complete and working properly before leaving the counter. And if you are unhappy, you can complain to the tourism ministry and trade ministry, who take Malaysia's tourism and shopping reputation seriously.

I'm sitting in the plaza right now, at the expressolab coffee shop (which is actually pretty good). I would not recommend this place: there's no telling if what you're getting is genuine and if you're a foreigner, you get harassed big time here, as you walk around. Save yourself the trouble and just find a good deal on amazon.

Stay away from here unless you like getting ripped off we have learnt the hardway. 2 phones in 2 weeks have been faulty from here one from the 'samsung shop' on ground floor and today the sony shop where my friend asked for help with his phone and they broke it. They made threats and pulled out a metal bar.theres no such thing as a 30 day warranty...once u buy from these cowboys you get fobbed off...
