Delicious pastries with a very long wait!!!
We saw this KLCG Confectionery on Tik Tok and decided to give it a try. I do believe it is a little overrated and pricey. You need to make a reservation or wait approximately 30 minutes for a table then line up order your selections and wait another 20 minutes. The pastries were delicious but not worth the price or the wait in my opinion. The photo opportunities were good and its always nice trying different places so if you have some additional time it is a decent place to hang out at for a morning snack but do not go out of your way if you are short on time.

    More Than We Expected
Located in Merdaka Square, the main draw seems to be the I Love KL sign out in front. However, there was a much better sign located on the second floor but not in red. On the first floor was a small diorama of KL, a room cataloguing history of KL as well as a busy cafe and gift shop. The second floor was much quieter so don’t miss it. Here was a much larger 3D model of the greater KL city in one large room, a wall with details about the tall buildings in KL, an angel wings wall (for IGs), a cool floating model of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building.

Seems like this place is no longer operating. The door was left opened but saying it's "closed". The ground floor looks empty so we didn't go in at all. Google says it's closed permanently, maybe Google is right. Website is down too. Took a photo at I love KL and had a quick walk. Not worth it.

This was very disappointing. I was there around 2pm and there was an encouraging queue, but that was for the cafe/restaurant. There are a few posters of old buildings on the wall, but these were blocked by the people queuing. There was no one on duty for the museum/gallery, so I asked one of the people marshalling the prospective diners if the museum is open and they said, yes, there is more upstairs. There is no sign as to where the stairs are, but I found them eventually and went up. Again, very disappointing. There is a huge model of KL and that is about it.

All in all, not really worth the walk in the hot sun. A pity, as it could be a fascinating destination.

Fun, creative exhibitions which my kids (ages 9 and 13) enjoyed. The café patisserie lived up to its delicious reputation.

Place is in a pitiful stage but nevertheless seems to be open - a paper in the entrance desk says it’s free to visit…we entered with a large group with their guide, we were a bit surprised by the place (empty or neglected) when a very rude guard arrived and yelled at us to go away (I think he was supposed to make sure tourists don’t come in but left his position - this doesn’t excuse his very rudeness and unprofessional attitude )…even the tourist guides didn’t know that it is closed is!!! Spare your time and don’t bother coming

I have traveled to KL for 6 Days, my first stop was in Merdaka Square, River of Life and its surroundings. I've also visited KLCG and my favorite part of the gallery were the 2nd level exhibition and the Cafe at the ground floor, very good pastries and refreshing juices!!! I just loved it.

In KLCG or Kuala Lumpur City Gallery, if you are a photo addict it's a must visit where you can find nice exhibition and a very nice art background installations for your nice pictorial galore. And, a stop by to their Cafe at the ground floor, their pastries and other food on their menus are mouthwatering. I have tried their pistachio pastry and their mint lime juice., super yum! :) You can check my IG or Tiktok for other photos & vids @cespina06.
