Went to TGV with wife and kids on 26/06/22. I was carrying a mall rucksack with me, which contained warm clothes for my kids. Prior to entering the cinema, a member of staff insisted on searching my bag. I asked why, to which he responded that he needed to check for food that I had not bought inside the cinema. I told the member of staff that it just contained clothing. He insisted on checking my bag anyway. I asked where was the policy / written information about TGV reserving the right to search customers' bags. He shrugged his shoulders. I had been waiting in the foyer for nearly an hour prior to the screening and did not see a single person having their bag searched. Is this another example of 'foreigner tax'. Grossly unfair and discriminatory. I will certainly not be returning - nor would I encourage anyone else to do so.

Great screens. Morning and afternoon sessions best as no crowd. Very clean and nice ambience. Yummy food and popcorn available too.

I went to TGV cinema at kl central I was pleasantly surprised. Theatre was very clean seats comfortable and modern.
Unbelievably cheap compared to what we pay at home (Australia).
I don’t really like the keypad ticketing system but I guess it’s the way of the future.

The cinema at pavilion is nicer but it's pretty decent place to watch a movie. Similar prices and all the usual movie snacks available.

This review is about TGV multiplex at the 1 Utama shopping mall and I visited it along with a friend who wanted to watch a movie on an IMAX screen. The screen is curved and really huge with very high resolution. The sound is crystal clear but very loud and the seating is very comfortable.

First time here and we went to watch Aladdin by Disney with my family we get 2 drinks free and we bought the tickets through the machine 30 minutes before it start
The hall 10 was very cold and the seats was not comfortable and any one move at your back sure he will move your seats it’s small and close to each other
The sound was amazing and very nice and clear
Hope other hall much better but sure will come back

Had the worst experience watching a movie ever. 3 Arab girls sat beside us and started talking loudly all through the movie, voiced did get drown when the movie volume got high. They started recording the movie from when the movie started. I had to walk all the way to the front to call on TGV's staff, he came in and told them to stop then left and the girls started recording again. This is in violatio on Copyrights Act 1989 and TGV does not care about this. One of the girls even played back her recordings with the mobile phone volume at it's highes level and the other kept sending her recorded movies via whatsapp. Then about 30 mins before the movie ends, they started snapping selfies with flashlights on. On their 4th selfie, I shouted (because the song speechless was on, hence loud music) at them to shut the phone off, the one sitting next to my 7 year old, kicked her left leg high in the air, maybe as a sign of 'fighting back'.
So in short, TGV is overpriced, TGV does not bother about the safety and wellbeing of it's paying customer, TGV allows it's staff to loiter at the entrance, chit chatting than making their rounds doing spotchecks inside the theaters, TGV serves stale popcorns and last but not least, TGV does not care about the Copyrights Act 1989 & does not appreciate the hardwork of the artistes involved in the movie.
I wish TGV good luck getting the support from unruly customers because TGV made me feel like my money was worthless.

The cinema feels more like bureaucratic hell hole than a place to get entertained. The ticketing counter does not issue tickets per se and rather asks you to line up at the touch screen kiosks on the other corner.

The digital kiosks themselves need reboot every fifth cycle and the staff is nowhere to be found. Come in way early because by the time you are done issuing tickets, you may have already missed the show.

The only upside is the food kiosk that offers halal hot dogs and popcorn.
