Only for Malaysians
Mar 2021 • Family
I just discovered that now it costs 40rm to enter the park for foreigners. I used to come there when it was free but this is excessive, so turned back without entering.

Overpriced
Mar 2021 • Family
The new price (2021) for foreigners and expats is 40rm/adult. Mykads of foreigners are not accepted. It's definitely not worth the price. To be avoided, unless you are a Malaysian.

Great escape from the city
Dec 2019
Breathtaking, but some of the plants/trees looked sad, could use more care. A great escape from the bustling city.

40 MYR is ridiculous
Oct 2020 • Friends
This place has not been fully open/functional since March 20. Charging 40 MYR is ridiculous, whats the point of claiming something - the only rainforest in the city in the world but its not opened. Taking the MCO as an excuse not to open is pathetic. Either they keep it maintained and open, otherwise it is a redundant piece of nothing.

Worthy of an afternoon's stroll
Oct 2019
Located in the heart of the city, the main reason the KL Forest Eco Park came up on our radar was due to visiting Menara KL at the same time. As we had prepared for the visit with hiking boots the terrain was not difficult to navigate, although it was a shame that several of the pathways were closed due to renovation work.
The canopy climb, although sadly short, gave a pleasant introduction to the area, and due to the lack of people in the vicinity it really did feel like we had the whole place to ourselves. The encroaching thunderstorm shortened our exploration, but it was an enjoyable hour's exploration.

It's worth noting that when we visited it was still free to enter; although 40 MYR is not a substantial amount, unless you were planning to spend the day there I would probably give it a miss.

Jungle walks in the middle of the city
Dec 2019
This is a nice jungle area to explore in the middle of the city of KL. I visited in Dec 2019 when it was still free to enter. Shortly afterwards the entry fee was introduced: 40 MYR for foreigners. This is a bit expensive for what you get, and I think I would probably not bother going in at that price.

highly recommend! loved exploring the fun jungle trails - just beware mosquitos!
Feb 2020
Walk through a jungle in the middle of the city! Kuala Lumpur is the only city in the world that has a natural rainforest situated right at its centre. The park is connected by 200 meters of walking bridges hanging among the trees. There are many different trails which vary in length, the Canopy Walk takes around 20 minutes. There may be monkeys in the trees!

We easily spent 2 hours wandering along the fun trails. First we did the Canopy Walk, which was great fun with some amazing views of the city skyline among the treetops! Then we walked back up the hill to take the opposite path down the hill to explore some of the trails.

Yes, they are not pristinely kept, but isn't that part of the charm?! We didn't want concrete pathways! we wanted twisty trails through the jungle - climb over that tree root! It's all part of the fun :-)

Seems as if only the main entrance is open at the moment, so we did a couple of big loop walks to arrive back at the start. Some great trails but sensible footwear is required, i.e. trainers. LOTS of up and down hill so be prepared! and take water to combat the heat. Also take bug spray! As there are lots of mosquitoes. We only noticed a couple at the time, but despite bug spray I had more than a dozen bad bites by the night (husband only had a couple). Advise to take bug spray with you and constantly reapply.

We arrived early in the morning, around 7.30am after walking up the hill from our hotel, and even then it was boiling hot in the jungle! Would probably recommend to get a Grab as they are so cheap and that hill is pretty steep!

After exploring the trails retrace your steps to return to the top of the hill (at entrance kiosk) to then go onto the KL Tower, less than 5 minutes walk away.

Tickets are 40MYR (£7) each, cash only. People are complaining that now have to pay when previously has been free, but we think the small (by UK standards) cost is well worth it. Maps are given out at entranceway. Open daily from 7am to 6pm.

Mar 2020 • Couples
Cost was 40 rm to enter unless your a local . It was very scruffy not a lot of wildlife We saw a lot more wildlife in free parks poorly signposted not worth your time insect repellent and money. The walkways were the only plus

Admission 10 euros
Feb 2020
Free entrance to the small piece of rainforest around KL Tower is history, now the fee is 40 rm. As the area is quite limited with wooden walkways high up I was now satisfied to circle around the perimeters on top. From there you get the general idea of wild nature among skyscrapers without having to encounter the monkeys, a very endangered but annoying species.
