This craft centre has no-one actually doing crafts. There are videos to watch of people doing different cratfs such as pottery or weaving with objects laid around each video. Very tired and some broken down parts. Then there are the huge shops set up for coach tours selling over priced goods not necessarily craft made. Not worth going to

This Craft Centre also has a museum. The shopping is poor and more expensive than elsewhere. Central Market has nicer things.

On other days, this is a usual museum with lotsa overpriced crafts. But if you come end of Feb till March 6th, they've invited vendors from across Malaysia to sell their batik cloth, crafts, jewellery including pewter, rattan woven items and others in huge white tents. It's like a carnival of sort and is really worthwhile to score some cheap... More

The main building looks well from outside and the main craft shop inside is fine, however it is a bit of of the way to get to the complex. And apart from the main shop the rest of the complex looks abandoned. It's 30cents to use the toilets and the male toilets were all covered in urine and and no... More

Recently, there was a Kuala Lumpur International Craft Festival took place in the KL Craft Complex which located in Jalan Chulan. In this event, there were various kinds of crafts from all over the world on display for sale. Besides, there are also food stalls, craft making demonstration, fashion show and cultural performance. Definitely a must visit for both local... More

My wife and I were recommended to visit the Craft Complex to indulge our untapped creative ambitions for Batik colouring. The complex was a little hard to navigate initially until we got our bearings as the site maps were somewhat unclear. Also, in-line with many other attractions in KL health and safety is at a minimum so you will need... More

We only found out about this place when we did the hop on - hop off bus tour and decided to go back and have a better look. There is a shop selling the arts and crafts (and souvenirs), but out the back is the work shops where the crafts are made. We bought a beautiful batik design and met... More

Had a few hours to spare in a business trip and thought I might pick up a few presents. I read the reviews - all looked good but my reality was very different. There are half a dozen large commercial shops and a collection of workshops, a small museum and what could best be described as a canteen at the... More

The main building has some nice craft stuff for sale (wood, jewellery and fabrics etc) and we found the craft museum/display interesting. However the rest of the complex looks decidedly unloved and rather dilapidated.

The Craft Complex is a jumble of standard souvenir shops, small shops/stands where crafts are produced and sold, and at least one museum. The small museum is focused on . . . well, I'm not completely certain; it had interesting exhibits on craft components and local living, but it was disjointed despite the informative signage. The wares and displays throughout... More
