The only way you can get an unhindered view of the Petronas Towers is by paying to go the the cheaply decorated but very very overpriced cafe.

There are building works on skydeck with a view of the towers which means closed.

For the one that’s open the staff is so set on selling g their pics they don’t they don’t regulate the time for the narcissist to pose. That means it takes ages in the heat to wait your turn.

Also there’s a very unadvertised free shuttle bus from the bottom of the hill.

It was a great experience to see kuala lumpur from such a high point ! I enjoyed seeing the well known spots and sightseeing areas from the observation deck. The batu caves murugan statue was also seen through the binoculars. The observation deck is a closed area with air condition which is good to enjoy the views in a bearable weather. It well be a great step to take hop on hop off bus as a transportation to the Menara as they explain everything at the bus u will apply by seeing at the menara so it will help u to understand what u will feast ur eye on there! The menara is one of the hop on hop off stops.

Way overpriced for what is on offer. Once on top a photo business tries to extract more money from you. IMHO one pic should be included in the enormous ticket price. There was construction the day we visited so we got a small discount. We were not impressed.

We only went to the observation deck as it was cheaper. It was a good experience nothing much to do or see. It will add more to the experience when you purchase skydeck and skybox.

Nothing short of a TOURIST TRAP. There are 2 lots of entry fees, one for locals and one for tourists.

I understand the tower is starting to wear out with very basic facilities but to charge 110 Malaysian ringgit per adult entry and 65 Malaysian ringgit for kids under 12 is just highway robbery.

My 13 year old son had to pay and adult entry. Total cost just to go up to the Sky Deck which is an open deck where you only have a 180 degree view of the city that also includes a Sky Box was 460 Malaysian Ringgit.

And to add to it, while we waited near 45 minutes to an hour to have our photo taken in the Sky Box, to get out of the heat we went into the cafe in the Sky Deck and were charged 40 Malaysian Ringgit each for a very small icecream cup.

We asked if we could also have a look at the Observation Deck whilst we waited for our turn on the Sky Box but no, we were told we could not go to the Observation Deck even though the Sky Deck cost more than the Observation Deck.

We finally managed to wait out our time on the Sky Deck for the Sky Box where we had 2 minutes to take photos.

Once we were done, we couldn't get off the tower quick enough.

My family and I have spent the last few days in Kuala Lumpur and loved a lot of what KL has had to offer including the food, Petronas Towers, Batu Caves, KLCC, the elevated pedestrian walkways, the indoor amusement park to name a few but we thought we had left the best for last being the KL Tower but we're greatly disappointed.

Don't even bother going up the KL Tower, it is nothing but a tourist trap. Do yourself a favour and don't let this one place spoil what is truly a great city.

I cannot review this as we never received the ticket QR code and were therefore refused entry
I have demanded a refund for these two tickets

Overpriced for a very poor quality experience. Views not that great, and ‘sky boxes’ not really in the best places for a good photo. Would not recommend the top price tickets (RM110) for the sky deck and sky boxes. Perhaps just the observation deck is better value but I’m not sure as cannot get ticket for both.

Make sure to go when the wheater is good. Fortunately, the queue wasn't long so we doesn't have to wait for long. A very good experience for my family. We loved it so much.. ❤️❤️ Recommended!!

The 360 view is outstanding. Nothing you can have at the Twin Towers. Take a coffee outside at an altitude of 300 meters, I know no other place you can do that.
Go for Skyddeck, not only observation deck.
We arived just after 9AM and it was almost empty. When we left there was a long que. Be there early.

We reached here at about 2pm and the queue was short. We left at about 3.30pm and were surprised with the long queues entering the facility. We bought the sky deck observation tickets and went up to the highest floor. The elevators were a bit confusing. You could mistakenly exit at the wrong floor if somebody had pressed for the elevators at the intermediate floors before you reached the designated level. Up on the sky deck, there were two glass observation deck, I recommend you to check both decks to see which one had a shorter queue. Even though queue numbers were given, the operators on both deck operate differently. One sticked to the queue numbers given, the other allowed patrons to queue on the spot, and then for those who had their numbers missed, they literally let them cut the queue. Each glass deck allowed about 1min for guests to take their photos. They were pretty strict once the minute is up. So, rehearse yourself while queuing to make the best of it. The rest of the deck had good views of the surrounding KL too. It was actually pretty worth it less the heat.
