Nice place to bring your kids
Enjoy the moment and this suitable place to bring your kid to explore about the animals. With parrot shows make this place more fun. Beautiful and tame bird will make your child become more excited.

    Ok Attraction, Poor Maintenance
KL Bird Park is a pretty expansive mix of open air enclosures and larger cages nested within this space. It seems like most of the birds free to walk around are peacocks, but there are some others. There's a few peckish birds if you are frightened of them. They have feeding and show times throughout the day, but the show times are pretty sparse. It is a fun attraction, but the park suffers from extremely poor maintenance. A lot of the landscaping and structures appear to be left to fade. It results in poor conditions for some of the birds and unappealing atmosphere for the guests. You can definitely skip this if you do not have the time, but it is still moderately entertaining despite the poor maintenance.

Disappointed but might have been better
I came from the hop on hop off bus as it looked impressive from the road. Not a great value at 75 ringgit for an hour or two but it must be incredibly expensive to maintain so I get it. Bird show is mostly for kids. I’d have had more fun not going solo because some of the birds are funny looking and it would have made for good joking around. I spent only an hour and 15 there. Docked one star because I mentioned to two people before I entered that I really wanted to eat at the restaurant here and neither told me it was closed. I likely would not have come had I known that. Felt lied to.

    Good family day out
Delightful aviary, set in a botanical garden. A variety of birds and numerous photo opportunities as the birds are close enough to visitors but within safe distances to stop them being stressed. Minor criticism was the cafe was shut and signposting for bird feeding could be better explained

    Mostly in cages
The experience was ok, the nice part is the location and beautiful vegetation and some free birds but it is very expensive (about 13 euros each) and actually half the birds are in little cages. Those who are free are too many and doesnt seem healthy (missing feathers++++). I am not sure animal's well being is really respected in this parc.

Wish more birds were free in this park but nice stroll with kids
This was a nice stroll on the park but I was expecting to see more birds free of cages . Some parts had more birds free and we saw beautiful peacocks, peahens and parrots but a lot of other birds were in cages that looked really small for some birds. The park is very extensive though so if you are with kids? You may do like us and stop halfway through.

    Birds Up-Close & Personal
Spent a couple of hours here and since it was a rainy morning we mostly had the place to ourselves. Great opportunity to take photos since many of the birds roam freely. Yes, some of the birds are in cages, but all the birds we saw were healthy and well-treated.

KL bird park with young family
Visited the KL bird park with our 9 month old, the park was very accommodating in terms of accessibility with a pram, as well as had indoor areas with air conditioning. The park was easy to access from KLCC via a grab, as well as via the hop on hop off bus. The park was reasonable price ($50AUD for 2 adults + non paying infant), and had a good selection of places to grab a cool drink/ice cream along the path. The birds are very interactive, fly right around you as well as walk just along the path, with the option to feed some fish along the way. Considering the birds are all around, the paths were clean and the area was maintained well. Would recommend the KL bird park for young families, or an activity. It took 1.5 hours to do the entire park without watching any shows.

It is a good day out and worth a visit
A lovely day out for all the family. Gardens and pathways clean and tidy. Birds appear to be in good condition. Reasonably priced. The toilets were wet and slippery. Unfortunately not a good standard of hygiene.

    Up close with beautiful birds
It was such a great experience to walk around this plant and have the birds walking/flying around me. They were so close and no fences. Got some great pictures. Went early and was one of the few people wandering around. Great value for money.

My wife walks with sticks. Not until we paid and entered the Bird Park did we see how unsuitable it can bale for anyone of limited mobility. Very steep slopes, probably even more dangerous when wet. We left after 10 minutes - having just wasted 160 RM. They have no wheelchairs to offer: a strange omission in 2024. Nor did they think fit to warn us of the potential difficulties facing disabled people. Our remarks were met simply with a gesture to the ‘No Refunds’ notice. Nothing more. Best to avoid this place if you are in any way unsteady on your legs.

Expensive to get into and smaller than expected . Whole site is poorly maintained and dirty. Quite a few birds in concrete cages without natural environments. Many birds look stressed with shabby and missing plumage. Ostriches in particularly poor state. Lots of peacocks and storks when we were there, but not the diversity we were expecting. Very disappointing experience leaving us feeling sorry for the birds who can’t get out. Two stars for seeing storks up close.

One of biggest attractions in KL. It is zoo for bird only, some birds in cages and some under big nets. Located in neighbourhood of botanical park and planetarium. Reserve half a day.

A lovely bird park with colourful avaries. Birds fly free in almost a natural habitat. Bring your camera and get great shots ranging from parrots to peacocks. Reasonable price and walkable from a nearby MRT station. Great opportunity to expose your children to the world of birds.

The place is super cool and fun. They have tried to create a pathway to walk with shades as far as possible.

They alos have shows for feeding, definitely try to catch up one. I would recommend the Hornbill feeding show.

DONOT forget to take picture with Macaus . There is a area where they take professional photograph and then farme and give it to you.

Additional Tips :
1) Carry water bottle as you have to walk and cover a lot of areas
2) If with kids below 3, please carry pram
3) Donot feed any birds
4) There are certain booths, where you can buy and feed birds , fishes - please use them
5) have your camera or mobile fully charges as you will get amazing phots.

Without any prior expectations we were pleasantly surprised by this attraction. Located adjacent to the Perdana Botanical Garden, a short drive from Central Market (don't try and walk there!), the Bird Park offers an extensive variety of birds to view. Walk through the aviaries at your own pace and take time to watch the bird show. We arrived at around 2.00pm and there was no queue. A pleasant way to spend time on a steamy afternoon.

Hint: There is only minimal rain cover so come prepared for adverse weather.

It was indeed a fun experience! I could get to see many birds there and enjoyed some attractive sessions, such as eagle feeding by the staff.

One thing that surprised me was some birds are being out in the nature (not in cages like most zoos do). It's good for them so that they can explore the wilds while humans visit the park.

In addition, there are some spots that are good for taking pictures with family/friends/couples. Definitely worth to go when in Kuala Lumpur!

It was more like a bird zoo. Too many caged birds for me. Mostly peacocks and parrots
The bird show was poor. Stereotyped and old fashioned

Top tip is to go to the hornbill Cafe and buy a coffee. Be there from 11-12 and you will see the hornbills being fed. For free. It was my best photo. Don’t bother paying for the Park

A remarkable experience was enjoyed by all of us when we fed milk to parrots. There is a wide variety of birds, including a number of uncommon species and stunning peacocks. Go early in the morning so that you won't miss any of the shows. Due to the fact that we arrived a little bit late, we were only able to watch the two least shows.

Billed as the biggest walk through aviary in the world its easy to forget that you actually in an aviary during you visit. Most if the park is landscaped with trees, rivers ind plants to give the birds (and monkeys) as natural a home as possible. Some species are in separate cages but the number of birds in the main area means they have plenty of birds to interact with as in the wild. There are plenty of sheltered areas to rest when it gets hot as well as two snack and drink kiosks and multiple toilets. There is ramped access everywhere, although some areas are a bit steep due to the layout of the land. There are alternative routes to get round the steepest areas. There are regular feeding shows at fixed times during the day. Some of the birds seemed fearless and were happy to walk right next to you. Opportunities to have your photo taken with birds are available in a couple of areas, we would recommend feeding the lorries for the best value (2RM). Finally you can also buy fish food for the main pools of fish around the aviary, for this you will need two 0.5rm coins or to visit one of the kiosks.
