About
When night falls, this functioning helipad on the 36th floor of Menara KH, transforms into an upscale rooftop bar. The sunset views at golden hour are a highlight; it's also when the bar is the busiest so try to reserve a table and get there early to snag seats along the outer rim of the open-air terrace. You'll get unobstructed views of the Kuala Lumpur skyline as you indulge in craft cocktails, local beers, international wines, and Asian-inspired tapas.
Once the sun sets, you can make your way inside to the aeronautical-themed lounge—though take note of the dress code.

- Angela MWest Sussex, United Kingdom118 contributionsFantastic 360 degree city viewsNot to be missed cocktails at sunset from the now unused helipad atop the Menara (Tower) KH. A bit pricey - 50 ringgit entry fee which gets you one drink - but absolutely worth it for the all round views of this vibrant city. The magic starts with the sunset and then the whole cityscape scintillates and glows as all the skyscrapers gradually light up, many in different colours, especially the KL Tower. Because it was so brilliant we stayed on and had something to eat which was actually rather disappointing: fairly tasteless chicken wings, flabby pizza - that sort of thing. A pity when Malay food is so fabulous.Visited January 2020Written 7 February 2020
- Steve DShanghai, China78 contributionsHad a good experienceI was concerned after reading several rough reviews, but I had a good experience. Admission price was 50 ringgits and that included a large drink. All the male customers wore long pants as they advertise that dress is smart-casual. What makes this place special is that there is no glass windows to look through.Visited January 2020Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 January 2020
- Jo Hart40 contributionsMeh drinks, great viewIf you are going for the drinks, I’d go elsewhere. But if you are going for a view, you couldn’t go anywhere better. I went shortly before sunset and got to see the sunset over Kuala Lumpur and see all the buildings, including the famous twin towers and communication tower, light up after the sun went down. An absolutely remarkable view of the city and the entrance fee (~$20 USD) covers two drinks.Visited November 2022Travelled soloWritten 5 November 2022

Amazing views, 2 drinks minimum with ticket. Surprised it was a bit rough around the edges but not bad. Good staff, ok drinks but that view...wow that view. A great introduction to KL.

I went to the Heli Lounge Bar because I was intrigued at it once being an active helicopter landing pad that was converted to a bar.
The reviews and pictures were also intriguing as I have never been to such a place before.
Upon arrival, after getting off the elevator, you pay an entrance fee that includes the cost of two drinks. You then have to climb another 3 flights of steps to get to the rooftop bar.
Once there, the views are spectacular. I felt like I was floating on a heli pad.
The waiter comes over and takes your drink order. I went at dusk and watched as night fell upon Kuala Lumpur. You can also see the Petronas Towers light up in the skyline.
I didn't order food, but there is a small bites menu.
I highly recommend the Helipad Bar as a unique experience while visiting Kuala Lumpur.

Came alone for a couple drinks on my last night in KL. The view was absolutely beautiful. Both of my drinks were tasty and I sat with a worker Daniel who was very kind. Recommend you to check this out whilst you’re here!

Great place both during the day and at night. Although you have to pay a cover charge it includes 2 drinks. The views are absolutely amazing across all of KL and well worth the few stairs you have to climb to get there.

I highly recommend this bar/ lounge if you want to have a unique experience while in KL.
It's located on the 34th floor of the Menera KL hotel.
After you reach the 34th floor, you still have to climb at another 4 flights of steps to reach the reception area.
It costs RM 22 entrance fees. That includes 2 drinks that are printed on your receipt. There's another two flights of stairs to get to the helipad.
There's plenty of seating. And you get 360° views of KL. It's especially beautiful after dark where the city lights up.
They serve food, too. I didn't buy any since I already had dinner.

The view from the helipad is just wow! You can see all the tall famous landmarks of KL from here. Spectacular view of KLCC Twin Towers and it’s just surreal to be having drinks on a helipad. About 10 mins walk from Pavilion mall. Paid RM100 for cover charge which includes 2 drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic options). Be prepared to climb an additional 5 flights of stairs to get to the helipad, not OKU friendly.

Heard a lot about this place so when we finally went... what a HUGE disappointment. For RM100 cover charge, they should at least give you DECENT drinks but in this case, wine doesnt take like wine, cocktails are coloured sugar water, the service is condescending or they just ignore you.
A rip off. Even the beautiful night view couldnt make up for the poor service and lousy drinks. Save your RM100 and spend it elsewhere.

Our bartender Daniel was fantastic! Engaging, funny and a terrific personality. He made our visit special. Make sure you ask for Daniel if you visit. Take your drinks up to the helipad, it's not the tallest viewpoint in the city but the views are stunning, especially after sundown. Surrounded by Petronas Twin Towers, Merebak 118 and much more. Well worth the money.

This is a cool spot for enjoying the amazing views of the KL skyline. It's not the cheapest place to go, but it's worth it. We hadn't planned on visiting as the weather in our time in KL hadn't been up to much, but I noticed a gap in the clouds late in the afternoon, so we thought we would give it a go. And we were not disappointed. The views are genuinely 360 degrees, with zero restrictions or fences. In fact, there is only a small rope like fence at waist height between you and the near edges of the building! We were staying at a hotel across the road which also boasted epic skyline bars and views, but they had a really arhaic policy that men must wear smart long trousers. Given I didn't bring any with me on this holiiday, it was nice to go somewhere that didn't really care what you were wearing so much (to an extent of course, Malaysia is still a Muslim country). The music on the rooftop was great and the service was brilliant too.

Sorry, I do not know the answer to this question. Suggest you go to their website and get an email address and ask them directly, if this information is critical to your visit. There is a restaurant on the same level as the bar and I would recommend eating there after having your sunset drinks on the helipad. Enjoy.
?There is an entrance fee

Hi, are 15-17 year olds allowed to enter the bar with accompanying adults? If yes, children aged 7 allowed too? Would be arriving before 9pm which is the ‘nightclub’ session. Thanks.

Hello, I am sorry, but I don‘t know for sure. I guess, that it is not possible. At least as we were up there, we didn‘t spot any minors. I recommend you ask a local or maybe the staff at your hotel might know. Enjoy KL!
Minimum Rm For entry ??

You have to buy a drink on the way in or you don't get access up to the heli pad, I am sure it can be a soft drink but you will have to buy something.

I have read that if you arrive after 9:00 p.m. (21:00) you will be required to purchase two bottles of wine or liquor in order to get a table on the helipad. Prior to that time you just need to purchase 1 drink. Apparently there is a dress code after 21:00.
