Multi story complex having many shops, restaurants, food courts, stalls, spas and many others. Good for shopping, dining or for a walk.Visited September 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 23 September 2023

- Chris BStevenage, United Kingdom187 contributionsSome good facilities and leisure activitiesThis is a substantial shopping mall having 7 floors of retail units although there were a lot of empty units especially on the upper levels. What does stand out though is the attached leisure area which includes an archery range, laser quest, escape room, bowling alley and theme park, all inside the mall. Probably this mall is better for the leisure than shopping as there are a lot of clothing, nail polishing and pedicure type units but few other shops.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 3 November 2023
- fire-tower3,099 contributionsA huge mall with many storesHave not visited Berjaya Times Square for a long time and popped in a Friday evening. Somehow, this big mall has seen better days and the footfall is noticeably lower than in the past. Nonetheless it is a huge mall with many stores.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 24 May 2024

Always long queues when you want to use the restrooms especially for ladies and it's not sanitary. For a modern shopping mall in the heart of KL, this is not acceptable considering the mass tourism from all over the world visiting this city. I have been to other malls in South East Asia (Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam) and they were all a lot cleaner.

Another visit to Berjaya TImes Square in Dec 2019. Not much of an improvement from my earlier visit. This time we were only really here whilst waiting for our bus back to Singapore (it being too expensive to fly in late December). The mall was crowded on the lower levels with all the usual lower to mid range outlets. Upper floors were empty - probably because it was a Sunday. Not worth going out of the way to visit this mall.

The shopping mall is huge with many shops but pay attention to the Indian nails shops on the second floor as they try to scam you. I went to the Orchid Collection (Lot 02-14) for an express gel pedicure at 35 Ringits and ended up paying 100 Ringits as they charged me + 80 Ringits for a 5 minutes scrub! The scam is that when they start the pedicure, they ask you if you want a foot scrub with a very low and difficult to understand voice (I understood 18 Ringits which seemed reasonable for a foot scrub in Kuala Lumpur). When it was finished and I wanted to pay is when the person who did the pedicure asked me for the 35 Ringits + 80 for the 5 minutes footscrub! We started to argue about the fact that she hadn't be clear about the price and I had understood 18 instead of 80 (80 ringits for a 5 min footscrub is way more expensive than the price we pay in Europe and this is Malaysia). I ended up paying 100 Ringits (I refused to pay more because what she said was very unclear and I think she did it on purpose. And I think it's still too expensive). Basically, the scam is to offer you a service with a price you will misunderstand (her English was really bad) without confirming by showing it to you on the price list (which, btw, is on the right bottom of the menu list so you don't pay attention to it when the cheap prices that get you attention are on the top of the page).
If something like that happens, you can fill in a complaint form at the information desk and the manager of the mall is a very nice and understanding person.

Went to pick up some gifts for folks at home. I was sorely disappointed and came home empty handed (guess some folks are going to get chocolates from the airport duty-free).
The truth is that I really don’t know what criteria should be used to rate a mall. This one has shops, eateries, and a cinema complex. But then they all do. Fortunately I briefly passed through a different mall on my way to KLCC park. Said second mall was so much more impressive than Berjaya, and had so many more shoppers than Berjaya, that I thought that giving Berjaya two stars was a kindness.
I recommend you go elsewhere for your souvenirs and gifts.

Berjaya Time Square is one of the must visit Mall right in the center of the city, at imbibe and Bukit Bintang. It is at a walking g distance from Jalan Alor for street food and upscale Mall Pavilion. One can spend hours snacking and shopping here.

My friends and l went on a gourmet trip to KL for 2N /3D stay going with Aeroline bus group.
We selected the apartment for its excellent location near the foodie enclaves we earmarked for our die die must eat places.
We took a long time to check into the service apartment in the West block. The apartment condition needs upgrading. The WiFi did mot work.
The housekeeping standard was missing.
The location was excellent for our food eating and tasting in the imbi/bkt bintang area. The ICC Pudu was a ten minute walk or RM5/6 by Grab. Chinatown was RM 10 by Grab.
Do not recommend this service Suites at Times Square even though it is low cost and convenient.

If the regular chain stores is not your style then Times Square is your mall. It is HUGE... even has an indoor roller coaster (I kid you not) ... so take lots of time!
Be sure to haggle, you can get almost anything 20-50% cheaper than the already low prices. The variety is staggering even though repetitive. Food court on the lowest floor is a night market style, great food at great prices.
You can even have a massage, mani or pedi so make it a day out, not a quick pop in!!

Although dated, there are goid bargains to reach out to. I particularly like the LC Waikiki store which I will revisit and do my shopping for the next trip.
In my opinion, it offers variety of fresh colours and design to suit the trendy for a reasonable price below that of Uniglo, the Japanese franchise.

Kuala Lumpur is an interesting city that has grown significantly over the years. There are many wonderful and diverse shopping opportunities and sights well worth visiting, such as Chinatown, Batu Caves, Jalan Alor, infamous Petronas Towers, and more. The people are quite friendly. However, it is a shame that the overall design of the city seems to be haphazard and it lacks green spaces. New buildings meant to impress go up and old buildings go vacant or sparsely occupied. I love visiting KL, but only for 3-4 days max. I prefer to spend my time visiting other parts of Malaysia now, but a first timer might enjoy a few days in KL.

Planning to book 5 nights for two room in October at your hotel via hotel website, either premier or premier twin tower view room. I understand there are two wings and private apartments. I wish to book rooms (not privately owned apartments) where the hotel reception is located as we are also attending a wedding reception at your hotel. Could you please suggest which room (premier or twin tower view premier) is located within the same wing as hotel reception? Any suggestion welcome. Thank you.

If you book at the hotel, you will not get any priovate apartment, the tower that are private apartments is located to the left and the hotel is to the right, if you stand out front of the building.

We were not certain about the quality of electronics from this mall even though things were cheaper here; bought apple watch and other electronics from KLCC. Thanks. 👍
