- Vina HSingapore, Singapore9 contributionsExquisite Batik Table RunnersI have not lived in Malaysia and anywhere in Asia for a long time and had remembered that the batik in Malaysia is very special. With the covid-19-economic-slowdown, I am bidding farewell to quite a few expat colleagues, and had searched for batik table runners as parting gifts. I ordered 2 batik table runners online from the mybatik site and exchanged WA messages with the owner. Boy, the communication was easy & seamless. I was sent pictures of the products that I am ordering to ensure that those were what I really wanted, obviously pix on the site vs pix seen on the phone helped a lot in the decision making. The order was mailed via the Malaysian Post and I received them all quite quickly and the table runners are exquisite!thank you so much for supporting myBatik during this covid ! Very fun! A good break from walking around and seeing the city. Emilia taught us the essentials of Batik as well as the life lessons of Batik. Lots of fun discussions about character and how it comes through in your Batik work. Overall, an entertaining and thought provoking journey, highly recommend!

Truly a fantastic experience having barely known Emilia and yet she went out of her way to process and complete my order in the late evening as it was to be a gift for a going-away friend. I love all her design and colours, and so did my friend. Very appreciative for her effort and friendliness.

Went there w my 4 kids aged 8 to 12 years old...We were greeted w friendly owner ms. emilia, comfortable and homely set up, ambience was good. We had mini briefings as this was our first experience to paint batik, took a lot of pictures, had time-lapse video complimentary by ms emilia....finished w free drinks, friendly chats and some more pictures at the end. Worth it!
Next, want to try shirt painting, bag painting etc.

So much fun! We loved this experience, it was unique, local, non-touristic, genuine and lead by Emilia, the most friendly, fun, artist!!
We learned how to do batik and paint our own tshirts and bags. It was fun and easy for all of us (7 years to 46 years)
Emilia was really warm and friendly and even dropped us off at Batu cave afterwards!!
Highly recommend!

Late review: I visited this hidden gem months ago to buy something local as a wedding present for a friend overseas. Emilia gave clear instructions on how to get to her batik studio and I was warmly greeted. In addition to purchasing the batik placemats + batik coasters, I also got a tote bag to pack them as well as a free batik greeting card.
I was also looking to buy a farewell gift for a colleague at the time - decided on a batik silk shawl workshop to be claimed by the recipient.
Lastly, I bought a cute batu Seremban set and Emilia even threw in a batik card holder to boot!
Great service and highly recommended!
