Being with Chen at his jungle container resort was truly an exceptional experience. Looking for a one night escape out of KL we came across Primal Wilderness Experience in our google search. We saw that the reviews were excellent but held low expectations. Chen made the trip amazing, he picked us up in a van and we drove for an hour north of KL. The stories and conversation we had in the van made us feel like we were long term friends. We arrived expecting low budget accommodation but the pool and container rooms were great with en-suite, air-conditioning and multi plugs for our European chargers and they were extremely clean. It was a very laid back setting and chatting with other guests by the pool made us feel very, very comfortable. Would highly recommend it for anyone seeking a wilderness escape out of KL.

This was one of the most unforgettable experiences we've had - absolutely phenomenal from start to finish, stunning scenery and exceptionally friendly host and staff that went above and beyond. We felt so welcome, and thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated all the additional information and help we received.
Easily the best thing we've done in Malaysia, and I cannot recommend it enough to anyone considering the experience - be sure to spend some time in the hotel too, Sarang by the Brook!!
Faultless, worth every penny and more, do not miss this out on your visit to KL / Malaysia. The river rafting was exciting, varied and lasted ages - also feeling very safe and confident with the experience and professionalism on display. My first time rafting and I worry I won't find a better place or company to do it with.
Thank you ever so much for an amazing time, it is at the top of our list to do again when back in the area!!

This was an unforgettable experience that would have been impossible to organize myself while I was in KL on business. Chen was an excellent guide with a great sense of humor who was interested in ensuring that we made the most of our time in the jungle. This is a real hike, so be prepared for some hours of walking and negotiating what can be moderately steep and treacherous terrain. That said, Chen kept the experience engaging throughout, pointing out interesting features and inhabitants of the jungle. He is also knowledgable about KL and the local town around his bed and breakfast. The meals included in the experience were excellent, as was the opportunity to see more of Malaysia than the megatropolis of KL. Swimming in the jungle river and experiencing the waterfall was just one highlight of an overall excellent experience!

From pick up to drop off the day was phenomenal. Really yummy local breakfast and tour of the town before heading off to the river. The rafting was so much fun, with the day tailored to our skill and enthusiasm level. Chen and his crew delivered in spades. Thanks so much!

Now I understand what rates a 5 star review. Chen the tour guide is also the owner, and is invested in you having a great experience. From when I initially contacted via the web to our drop off back at the hotel, he could not have been more courteous and attentive.
Did the easy trek waterfall tour and laid back is a good description. Most of the time is spent relaxing at the falls with local picnic lunch. It was what I needed to kick back. Not the usual spend your time in a cramped tour bus and rush to get back to the tour bus. Tours are small and intimate.
Highly recommended!

Well what can I say about Chen and his team of Primal Wilderness.....
It was the 2 best days of our 12 day trip to Malaysia!!
I booked 2 tours prior to coming to KL, the white water tubing and the trek and waterfall day trip...
Communication was excellent from the moment I booked the tours, always felt confident..
We were picked up at 7 am on the dot from hotel and the adventure started..
We were taken to a restaurant had wonderful breakfast tried foods that we wouldn't of probably of tried without Chen.... Felt we were really experiencing Malaysia...
Off up to mountains got geared up in safety wear grabbed tubes and short walk to the Rapids and that's where the real fun started:)) i am not an adventurous person at all but I had a permanent smile on my face all day even when I fell off my tube 3 times I think...
Safety was always first with Chen and Margie, they really are the best!!!!
Had lovely lunch and were even treated with some wonderful pastries and cakes...YUM
The waterfall trek tour was a 12 hr day full of fun, food and just a great experience overall.... Tried traditional Malay food, wonderful trek through jungle to magnificent waterfalls where we cooled off in the water with the fish!!!
Laksa for dinner oh and I don't think I will ever forget the experience of trying Durian....
I'm sure Chen won't forget my husbands reaction to it as well!!!!
The cost of these tours with what are included is very reasonable.....
The best advise I can give anyone coming to Malaysia is book a tour with Primal seriously the best time we had in Malaysia.... Felt we really experienced the real place!!!

Nice food, nice people, nice nature, nice activity!
Overall a perfect day.
Pick up was in time. After an hour ride out of KL we got tasty local and breakfast. The guides introduced themselves. After finishing we headed up into the mountains and after a short briefing on safety (we felt safe all the time) we were in the water tubing. It was a lot of fun.
We had lunch afterwards and a nice talk with the guides. Thank you for the nice day.

After 2 days spent in Kuala lumpur, we find that activity on trip advisor in order to do something else than visiting malls and monuments of the big city.
Julian came to pick us early in the morning (6:30 A.M) in our hotel, then we met Chen in a typical malaysian restaurant for the breakfast.
We then met in their beautifull resort, and took his van to reach the jungle.
What a surprise watching those amazind landscapes, the diversity of vegetations and eating fresh fruits right from the trees.
We reached the waterfalls whithin a few hours of walk, and splached into it before taking lunch all togheter right there.
Chen has been very kind as he took time to clearly explain everything (past and history of the region, diversity of animal and flores), we would certainly go back as soon as we have the opportunity to land in Kuala again.
We warmly recommand to everyone to try the experience with the best guide ever.

My husband and I came across this wonderful company on trip advisor. We booked the river tubing and are glad that we did! It was a fun and thrilling day out. Chen was a great guide and provided commentary on the history of Malaysia on the way, which was very interesting to learn about. Both Chen and Margie were great during the river tubing and we felt very safe with them. Chen also took us to local restaurants for lunch and breakfast. It was lovely to see the locals and try authentic food. All in all we had a fantastic day out and would highly recommend. This was definitely the best part of our trip!

Thank you for your review. Besides the action packed time in the river, FOOD is also a big part of our tour, so much so, it is like a mini food tour thrown in. We try to have everyone going home after a day out with us with a satisfied tummy.

we had a mixed fitness group and ages and all managed quite well
In places the walk is scrambly and a walking pole would make it easier for some and they are easy to purchase at sports stores ( and cheap) in Kl or pick up a big stick on the way
