- Bluesphynx1,361 contributionsWonderful food courtThe shopping 's not bad, many floors for clothing ranging from the cheapest to the more costly brands culminating in bargain basement household items. I managed to get jeans and some locally-made tops, a more costly Joan Allen blouse with a discount and a Polo wallet. But the pull is the spacious and attractive food court with the most glorious nasi padang stall with a staggering array of vegetables (terong is excellent) and the piece de resistance must be the salmon curry. Large slices of tenderly cooked salmon fillets in an assam sauce, small eates should share if they want to try other meats. Beware the squid deep-fried rings may look delicious but are rather tough and you need to get 4 rings for them to charge a reasonable price. The sambal is real kampong style so take plenty of it. The ladies serving are patient and helpful, lovely people. We went at 11.30am so everything was fresh but queues started soon after. There 's another nasi campor stall, looks less alluring but I'm sure it isn't bad, looking at the display. There's an Ah Cheng laksa, chicken rice and others that we didn't try. Teatime was taken at the teh tarik place downstairs next to Four Leaves. Make sure you go to the taxi stand at the front of the building as we made the mistake of heading for the Grab station and had to make a big round to catch a red and black taxi at the official stand.Visited January 2020Travelled with friendsWritten 9 January 2020
- Dear Little TravellerSaudi Arabia184 contributionsCan find deals but have really look for themThe lowers floors are very cheap quality items meant to be for locals and you can find lots of made in china clothing not too expensive but not good great quality. Top floors have more branded items with well known brands at good prices (around 30 per cent cheaper than other malls in KL). Nike, Hush Puppies, Levis, Diesel (at the kids section) .. to name a few. Perfumes were also slightly cheaper. Staff wasn’t particularly helpful and some of them even seemed bothered when you touch the clothes. Lots of serious faces and arms crossed throughout the mall. A few friendly but mainly not. Look around and you may find a good offer but really have to look thoroughly.Visited February 2020Travelled with familyWritten 23 February 2020
- JunioridrusKuala Lumpur, Malaysia5 contributionsSo much choice in this big supermarket,So much choice in this big supermarket, I had a hard time not spending too much time here. This is actually quite a large version of the 'Local' branded stores. It focuses on the traveling public, lots of salads, sandwiches, fruit, and vegetable for people wanting a snack. The quality of the fruit and vegetable was better than expected, it’s the best choice for everyone and basic provisions for busy commuters. Room for improvement to the Management of Sogo. Street vendors and street begging is being flourishing at the Main entrance of your establishment. Vendors are selling food and drinks and the leftover food is being thrown away at your footsteps, I see some of these ‘mothers’ can be seen carrying babies who are not their own, children are begging for money be distributing flyers. The more money you give, the greater the incentive for children to continue begging and stay out of school. We, Malaysians, are just too generous. People need to be more aware of this issue.”Visited July 2020Written 19 July 2020

Excellent mall if you want to actually just SHOP! So well organised and not full of the same old same old. You won’t find too B many mainstream brands here but the variety of clothing is extensive and you will go home with some really unique pieces

Customers are crowding for bargains during seasons festivities on the ground floor which also has a large cosmetics department. As a traditional store catering for the whole family Sogo has managed to hold it's place in competition with never malls. A big supermarket fills the basement with a large food court outside in the shelter, a more vacant toilet is beside it.

SOGO is in general luxury but the prices are acceptable. You can find a lot of choices of everything and there was a 5% discount for visitors in addition to the other discounts. You can eat in the LG floor (fast food), or in the sixth floor (different types of food).

Even though this place is already old, it’s still relevant in today’s context. Many eateries there. Prices of things u must look n compare. Top floor nice food court.
Evening time there are buskers. If u have more money please donate to them. Don’t just listen to free music n entertainment only. Donate generously to them.
In front there are nice Capital Cafe that sells good nasi padang n where all the human race meet n greet each other before eating together.

I was looking for Japanese gift for a special friend / retire teacher who love Japanese food. It was really become a local traders hub and street performers/ musicians arena with so many foreigners (Blu Collar). Sui See was low quality ......... and up I only bought a pack seaweed snack.

Not sure which chicken rice shop you're referring to, there are a few there... but you can try the corner of Jalan Raja Chulan, opposite the Central Market... there are many restaurants at the back of central market with pretty good yummies. Hope this helps.

they have brand like zara h&m in this mall?

Petaling Jaya, Malaysia21,734 contributions
Unfortunately, no. Sogo is essentially one big self contained departmental store with many individual brands that take a lot in this building. Lot 10, pavilion and Avenue K would have them.

what is worth buying from there? Clothings, shoes, perfumes?

Basically it is a Japanese Department Store but under the joint local management. The products are branded not fake... Clothes and household items are good and Perfume also branded and something have good promotion too. It is within walking distance about 5-10 minutes walk depends... Most of the Shopping malls and Department stores have the tourist card for tourists and they offer discount and or free gifts depends on their marketing plan.
