Yes, it's one of the smallest concert halls I've been through but the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas is actually a beautiful venue for performance arts. I've been here plenty of times to listen to world renowned musicians perform and the acoustics of this place is actually quite magnificent. The size of the venue, although small means that it is far more... More

Went to watch an MPO performance of anime songs this weekend. The performance was nice, but I also like the philharmonic hall, with its glittering ceiling. It is not very large, but quite comfortable with acceptable acoustics. Worth a visit if you enjoy orchestra music, but get your tickets for popular scotes early, as they will sell out.

The philharmonic would not be something I'd normally go to but I decided to check it out because the tickets where very reasonably priced and it was highly rated. I have to say this was one of my favourite picks from KL! Will definitely be booking tickets again next visit.

Very amazing concerts. Good price. BE CAREFUL: if you leave the hall (for toilet, coughing or what ever) they ll don't let u in again! Was a big drama when I was there. Endless energy taking discussion before they let me in again in the back.

Thank Nadja M
Management response:

Hello Nadja, yes indeed, the ushers only allow people back into the hall during suitable breaks. Thanks for your feedback. More

The Dewan Philharmonic Petronas is located at the podium level of the Petronas Twin Towers. It is the home of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. With state of the art acoustics, in addition to the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, the hall has played host to the world's finest artistes and orchestras. The hall also features a Klais pipe organ and a recording... More

This is one great concert hall - one great orchestra - and a great programme of concerts and guest musicians and conductors each year. Thereis a good website which sets out the available concert programme and bookings can be made online If you love music then you will love the MPO(subject to a particular concert suting your tastes). It,s a... More

My main reason for coming to KL was, surprise surprise - Petronis Towers. Imagine my glee when discovering the that I could watch the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra IN THE TOWERS! What an evening! You don't have to dress up (but there are reasonable dress code rules), but we did, after all, why not go all out and blend in with... More

Back to April 6, 2014 I attained this Fiesta Maxicana performance. The acoustics is surely fabulous, love the sound and love the performance! Feel everything is in order, well done! Conducted by Ms Alondra De La Parra and special performance by violinist, Mr Josef Spacek. Check out the variety of performances from time to time because I believe you will... More

We booked tickets a couple of month ago, the most expensive ones. We have got the confirmation and the etickets online. Then we booked the flight from Germany to Malaysia, to arrive a day before the concert. We want to be sure to be on time. We arrived one hour before the concert. There we were told they had rescheduled... More

Excellent acoustics, very good philarmonic orchestra, comfortable seats and the bonus pleasure of being a user of the Petronas towers. What more could one want? Only a more welcoming management. The box office is brusquely efficient, commanding visitors to queue in the right places in the right order. The ticket regulations are risibly old-fashioned regarding what cannot be worn, and...
