Across the winding steep main road, Sans Souci, from Copolia Lodge, Copolia Trail gives you two-three hours of hard work climbing through the topical forest over rocks and twisty roots in many places to reach the summit (580 m). We hiked through a downpour part of the way. The well-marked path was slippery in places during the rainy season (January),... More

Located just across the street from Copolia lodge is a nice uphill (aren't they all) trail yielding panoramic views of the harbor and Eden island area below. Trail is well marked and not hard to follow. That is until you get to the very top. We were never sure if we made it all the way but still ended up... More

My husband and I recently trekked up the steep path at Copolia Trial during our stay on Mahe. It was a fun and exciting way to experience the flora of the Seychelles. As novice "hikers" (we're New Yorkers afterall), we found the climb steep at times, but the view was definitely worth it. One note, particularly for new hikers, I... More

The trail is sometimes steep and depending on the weather a bit slippery. But the view from the top is very rewarding. It's a must do while staying on Mahé!

The trail did provide ample exercise and requires a level of fitness. However the entire hike provided intensely beautiful views all the way up to the ultimate goal, the lookout. The top of the trail was worth all of the effort and provided us with a truly awe moment.

The Copolia Trail leads up to a rocky plateau, where you have a great view of Victoria, Eden Island, the smaller islands off the coast and even Praslin and La Digue in the distance on a clear day. The trail is clearly visible most of the time. It's steep sometimes, but steps have been made out of logs and branches.... More

The Copolia trail is a secure and well maintained hike. It takes about one hour to reach the top. Quite steep at times but totally manageable even for those that don't hike regularly... The view at the top is so rewarding. Pack a snack and lots of water and have a little picnic at the top while enjoying the spectacular... More

We took the bus from Beau Vallon to Victoria in order to get to the Copolia Lodge, where the trail begins. In Victoria, we had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for the Copolia bus, as we missed the one at 8:55. The next bus was at 10:20. So we decided to walk 6 km to Copolia Lodge. We... More

Nice trail, takes about 90 minutes back and forth. You have to go up the hill and it requires some effort but still if you go at you own rhythm and are reasonably fit, you will manage. Wear good shoes. The trail is well maintained and no security issues. Beware at the top but still it is large enough. At... More

We went hiking with a guide (Alrick from Discovery Agri tour, highly recommended). Our family of 4 (2 kids, 4 1/2 and nearly 2) had quite a hard time hiking, as we had to carry our little one all the time. But my 4 years old son really enjoyed it: it was challenging for him, withoutbeing too difficult (he loves... More
