Worth the Efforts

Morne Blanc viewpoint offers magnificent views over the west coast of Mahe. It takes around 1 hour to trek to the top but the view is worth the efforts. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place to go in Seychelles, unable to park due to the narrow roads. But the biodiversity is amazing in this place.

The wife and I headed out on the trail early in the morning and had a lovely walk/slog to the viewing platform. Trail is well marked and easily navigated by the average hiker/walker. I would definetly bring something to drink and a snack and pack out what you pack in. This is not heeded by some of the visitors and... More

Would definitely recommend this hike. I consider it a really easy trek and one that is well worth the little bit of effort. Took us less than half an hour to get up top. The place was mainly covered in the clouds but we spent quite a while chilling and we managed to catch a few nice glimpses of the... More

Whether you drive sans souci on a clear day or a cloudy day doesn't really matter. On a clear day, the views from the various look-out spots are amazing. On cloudy days, spend some time wandering through the forest. Have picnic and listen to the bird calls. Definitely rent a car for this.

Park opposite the tea factory on the mimi gravel car park, around 200m down the road, you'll see the green sign as you walk up to signal the start of the trail. Trail is well marked and easy to follow, we made it to the top in around 25 mins but we are reasonably fit 30 somethings! Small viewing platform... More

Hiking lasts about 45 minutes to up and same to down. The view is worth it! It is the medium level tough but you can make it :) Must visit!

The hike does require a certain level of fitness with the slope of the trail. The woods you pass through are beautiful with tonnes of moss covered trees and indigenous plants. The kicker, the viewpoint, which you reach at the end of the hike is worth every ounce of effort. The view truly provides a unique perspective of the island.

we took a taxi there from port launay for 300 rupees and the bus back from the nearby tea plantation stop for 5 rupees each. The hike up requires sturdy shoes and is well marked/cut but is a seires of rock and wood steps, steep at times, and with humidity or heat- most can do it- take your time, until... More
