Lots of history, we went to the prison and walked through the area. Lots of good places for pictures. Beware that you will be bugged about tours and buying things you don't need. But generally a safe area.

Be aware too, they charge per time, so what starts out at 2-300 if you do an extended tour may become quite expensive, but it is worth it to go all around
